Karl Rove: Martin Bashir ‘disgusting and vile’ (Where was Karl and the GOP-e 3 weeks ago?)

Karl Rove is slamming Martin Bashir for his “disgusting and vile” comments against Sarah Palin that ultimately led to the MSNBC host’s resignation.

“This was beyond the pale. Sure, we are going to have harsh comments about political figures from people who don’t share their views, but this was a disgusting and vile and highly personal and offensive comment,” Rove said Wednesday on Fox News’s “The O’Reilly Factor.”

Bashir resigned Wednesday for comments he made on his Nov. 15 broadcast during which he called Sarah Palin “a world class idiot” and referenced a diary of a former plantation manager who forced a slave to defecate in another slave’s mouth, adding Palin would be an “outstanding candidate” for such treatment.

They were waiting to see how the MSM was going to handle this, and then make sure that they came down on the same side.

Must be a slow news day for Krazy Karl. He’s just garnering BS conservative cred points for now. Tomorrow, it’s back to amnesty, more govt control and same ole GOPe talking points.

And .. where was Karl when the McCain camp was smearing Palin all over the place .. there was only SILENCE.

Karl knows he’s under attack for his liberal-leaning ideas and support for too many liberals in the GOP elite.

I’m not buying his supposed change of heart.

I would just love it if O'Reilly, Kelly, or Hannity would ask Rove that simple question. Of course, that won't happen because Rove has some sort of bizarre hold on FOX management.

Where is Karl on McConnell’s violent “Need a punch in the nose” anti-tea party rhetoric?

Shut up Karl.

Where is Karl on diverting $26 million of his donors’ money to Grover Norquist in 2012?

He would never back up Sarah until he is sure whatever damage that raghead said takes full effect.

Rove’s rule: Never jump on an enemy until he’s down and out.

Rove's rule #2:

2. If you have to pick between attacking liberals or Tea-Party conservatives, always pick the Tea-Party conservative, it's safer.

diary of a former plantation manager who forced a slave to defecate in another slave’s mouth

I'm unclear why it isn't considered relevant that this event, if it ever actually happened and wasn't just the imaginative ramblings of a sicko, took place outside what is now the United States.

We're supposed to be responsible not only for what happened here in the distant past, but also for what happened in the distant past in foreign countries?

Hardly new. Think back to when the entire media was at its most inflammatory maliciousness when it tried to tie Palin to the Tucson mass-murders. Within hours, the networks were running a constant video loop, juxtaposing imagery of Gabby Giffords, blood on the parking-lot pavement, the portrait of the dead little girl, and Sarah Palin walking up to a podium at a tea-party event. It was like Eisenstein-level editing and deliberate propagandistic messaging. Hour after hour. For several days. The media did everything it could to dump the dead bodies right on Palin’s doorstep. She and her family reportedly got over 100,000 death-threats as a result.

Now remember. How many voices in the GOP stood up for Palin, against this unprecedented media assault? And not just for the sake of Palin herself, but the entirity of these dangerous, un-American media tactics? The silence was deafening.

Rove was a disciple of the late Lee Atwater, who got “Daddy GOP-e” GHWB elected. Atwater was a horse's a$$, too.

McC couldn’t punch much of anyone in the nose unless it were a disabled bed-ridden patient. But people in KY don’t know that.
