For the first time in nearly 40 years, a majority of Americans believe the United States is less important around the world and that it should mind its own business, a stunning rejection of President Obama’s foreign policy just four years after he received the Nobel Prize.

A new Pew Research Center poll found that 53 percent of people believe that the U.S. is playing a less important role as a world leader than a decade ago, the highest figure since 1984.

Worse: 70 percent said that the U.S. is respected less than in the past, almost matching the high reached under former President George W. Bush, whose foreign policy Obama pledged to reverse.

Some silver lining in the cloud: the majority think we should mind our own business. A heartening trend.

That lead sentence is an object lesson in confusion and obfuscation. Degrading America’s global leadership status is precisely his intent. He clearly “telegraphed” this in his 2008 campaign speeches, and since being elected has worked diligently to that end.

This nation cannot be a world leader when it cannot lead it self. Look at the rest of the world and we are falling behind morally and financially. Cannot run a country when you have the social collapse going on. Think about it. We are only as strong as our leadership is. at this time, we are very weak in the eyes of the world.

We should mind our business, especially since we haven’t had the will to win a fight since 1945.

The people are corrupt and have become slaves to their various sins, and are now enemies of righteousness.

They will continue to choose leaders poorly until something changes.

Sucking up to Jihadis and grovelling before everyone else has not engendered respect worldwide for Obuttboy. What a surprise.

That ought to solve the immigration problem. If it is so bad, then maybe the illegals will turn-tail.

I wonder if a military General might be able to win the GOP nomination and the Presidency in 2016.

No obvious candidates come to mind at present, but that is one area where the Dems may have a glass jaw.
