New Obamacare weapon for GOP: Doctors

Get ready for the next line of attack from the GOP on Obamacare: Good luck keeping your doctor.

Wyoming Sen. John Barrasso, the fourth-ranking Senate Republican, blasted Obama’s latest health care speech Tuesday as misguided — particularly as consumers nationwide are losing their access to insurance.

“They don’t need another press conference — they need to be able to see their doctor and get affordable care,” Barrasso said in a statement. “He took no action to help people who will lose their coverage and their doctor, pay higher premiums and become victims of identity theft because of Obamacare.”

And when properly employed the truth can be a powerful weapon. To. Bad the GOP will fail at it.

I had fun reading Dana Milbank this morning saying that the lack of a GOP attack on the website = capitulation.

The Republicans are just shifting to a new line of attack. Which is refreshingly smart of them ...

If it were anyone else but Obama it would be called fraud.
If the House had any honor they would impeach him for fraud.

Hoping that your opponent will trip on a tree branch is weak. Being a stronger, better-prepared competitor is the right way to engage.

This is a battle, no question about it. We've let the enemy within, the "fifth column" so to speak, advance way too far already. Obama is absolutely determined to win this fight. This is his purpose in his presidency and seemingly his life. Are there just a handful of Americans who are ready, willing, and able to stand up to Obama and the Lefties and do battle? Now is the time.

This is not a battle over which "i" to dot or "t" to cross. It's a battle of freedom against socialism. The practical application of freedom in economic matters is the FREE MARKET. Don't let the Left say we have no alternative. The FREE MARKET creates wealth and has made America the wealthiest country in the world. Does anyone think government made America the envy of the world and the wealthiest?

Obamacare must be destroyed and the American People must stand against further encroachments into their freedom and force tax cuts which in turn will force government cuts.

The *only* interest the GOP has in OC is how it will get them votes. They do...not...give...a...rat's...ass about your suffering; nothing, not a damn. In fact, your suffering is good if it drives you to vote for them.

This is all a dog and pony show choreographed years ago for your suffering / their benefit.

Vichy GOP

Instead of using doctors as a political stunt, since the GOP read the Constitution at the beginning of the 2011 and 2013 sessions, why doesn’t GOP simply point out that healthcare is not one of the powers that the Founding States listed in Congress’s Article I, Section 8-limited powers?

Barrasso BLASTS nobama. How cool is that?

Being a news junky, I have been especially vigilant in looking for stories featuring pricing people are getting for nobama care.

I’ve found no stories where the price is less. In some cases the monthly premium is less but the deductible is much higher. If your premium is $200/month but your deductible is $12,000, you, in effect, have no insurance.

The other thing I see a lot of is people being pushed into Medicaid. Medicaid is not a nice program. Not many doctors. Lower quality of care. You’ve heard horror stories about the DMV? That’s very similar to Medicaid.

nobama had a news conference today where he was supposedly surrounded by nobamacare “success stories.” I didn’t see it but was told it was long on nobama worship and very short on hard facts.

Get the government totally OUT of medicine and equalize tax treatment of insurance premiums between employers and nonemployers and medical prices will come DOWN so that medicine is generally "affordable" to people who have high deductible policies, This idea that health care must not impinge on your bank account is nonsense. What is more important to someone than health care? Should food be free because everyone needs food? How about shelter and clothing?

A large and growing portion of the population believes that the necessities should be "free." When necessities are all free then we can all spend our time going to opera or just watching endless Games on TV except that when everything is "free" no one will have anything left over beyond bare subsistence because they are sending all their income to the government. And more- they are ceasing to work to earn that income because it has no utility for the earner any more, so the amount of that free subsistence declines to starvation or general slave labor becomes a reality.

Doctors need to resist. Will they...or are they the newest crony-capitalists? Time will out.

Crony capitalists I say. They want to guarantee their pay. Can a pediatric nurse open her own office to examine children without a Dr. in the office?

I heard some of his press conference.

Like Custer approaching Little Bighorn, calling Crazy Horse a gay boy with cute feathers.

He has no clue what’s next.

He never ran a lemon aide stand for a reason.
Too damn stupid.

“If it were anyone else but Obama it would be called fraud.”

That’s not fair. If it were Hillary, it would not be called fraud. Nor for Biden, Feinstein, Kerry, Pelosi, Reid . . .

ogen hal: Most doctors don’t have a clue what this abomination of demo-care will do to their practice of medicine so it’s hard to tell but since none I know of have been approached by any insurer with a reimbursement contract offer they have been fairly silent. I’ve read, but haven’t been told by any insurer that the rates paid under the Demo-care plans will be less than Medicare rates - their logic is you make it up in volume. Well, that won’t fly as most doctors already are busy enough that the promise of volume only helps new docs or those who are marginal at best.
Obama (demo) care will of necessity elevate the Fake-doctor practice of medicine so lessor trained poorly supervised “extenders” will now be your only interface into the system.... God help us all !!! Very few doctors in our community take ANY medicaid at all...and Obama care (Democare) will meet the same fate I suspect.
Long lines, suboptimal care, inexperienced “fake-providers”, increased morbidity and mortality and unless legislated out of existence, a dual system of health care - i.e. those with cash, and those without - will be the end result.
In a real rational world when this is at full fruition, no Democrat who supported this legislation (Thank God no Republican even the RINOs voted for it !! ) would get elected Animal Control officer even in Chicago !!
But I’m pessimistic the American voters who gave us this mess and reelected this Fraud in the White House will wake up in our lifetime !!
