Boehner’s New Immigration Policy Director Has Deep Experience on Overhaul Efforts
Roll Call ^ | 12/3/13 | Emma Dumain

Speaker John A. Boehner, R-Ohio, is taking on a new and formidable immigration policy director, a sign that he could be more serious about passing immigration legislation than his critics suggest.

Rebecca Tallent, who currently serves as director of immigration policy at the Bipartisan Policy Center, will join Boehner’s staff on Wednesday. Before joining the BPC, Tallent held several senior staff positions with Sen. John McCain, including chief of staff.

During her time with McCain, she helped the Arizona Republican draft a handful of immigration overhaul measures, including the last big push McCain made with the late Sen. Edward M. Kennedy

Reform without enforcement is nothing but amnesty. Show us you are serious about getting rid of the millions of illegals and THEN we’ll talk about reform.

I want to know the ratio of calls Mitch and Rand got during the Senate Amnesty discussion.

I dont see how they could have got any more than 10% positive calls. I can imagine the working class blacks and whites of Kentucky are super impressed at more cheap labor. Another aspect that is frustrating. As a mainline liberal Democrat candidate Alison Grimes will be totally clueless on border security and would probably support amnesty. Yet McConnell is not attacking her on these issues.

If the GOP passes Amnesty, I pass the GOP... out of my system forever.

No money. No voting. Ever. Again.

.... [the Democrat Party] George Soros established a state headquarters in Texas ....

There, fixed it.

This is a Soros deal manned by Obama campaign staffers and paid for by the Infamous Jew-Hunter.

It's the sequel to the Colorado project and, if successful, will give the 'Rats the White House for the next 200 years.

Thanks - I recall now that it was not officially linked with the Democrat Party.

I did not know that Soros was involved.

When I first read it, all I could think of was hundreds of buses pulling up to Early Voting locations.

How do Republicans counter this tactic?

In terms of temperament, I just can't see thousands of Conservatives climbing into buses.

I would actually be too embarrassed to do that, not that it matters since we vote by mail here in Washington state.

OH people require liberalism in their lawmakers, but a man named Jim Jordan has defied the odds with the Buckeyes. It’s amazing he survives in office.

People in KY just don’t understand how immigration impacts them adversely. All they know is rhetoric of a “melting pot” and “give me your tired, your poor”, etc. And they recognize familiar names up to a point.

Most in Kentucky have no idea of where Rand and McC stand on anything really. I don’t think senatorial voting records are widely reported much anywhere any more, and one must search for them. KY people stick with familiar names.

I really hope the people in his district in Ohio are paying attention...Somehow I am not going to hold my breath...

I don’t think those voters have the guts to show this shlup to the street...

Seeings how he is very sensitive, and cries a lot...

I would love to be proven wrong and see this guy become the “former” speaker of the House of Representatives...

Its gonna happen either way...

Well, when they are herded into cattle cars, it is pretty much too late at that point...

RE: “Well, when they are herded into cattle cars, it is pretty much too late at that point...”

A valid point.

Of course, the Democrats will have to solve their Second Amendment problem before they decide how they want their Conservative steaks cooked.

We should keep writing letters and emailing boner, making phone calls and reminding him that his World War II veteran Dad would be so proud of him now, wouldn't he. It's every parents dream to have a son who is a traitor to his country by siding with the enemy. His father fought for this country, and his boozer son is giving it away to the socialists/communists/marxists/revolutionaries/muzlim infiltrators. That's my boy! Gotta work on the conscious of boner..he drinks and cries..internal conflict to be sure, and we gotta pound it home that his father and mother would be appalled by his behavior. And what about his siblings? Does anyone hear any comment or scuttlebutt from his family members, or know anything about them in Ohio?

Forget about being embarrassed. You do what you have to do to delay, refuse, obstruct, destroy the enemy any way you can. We're the boots on the ground, and remember that the word embarrass never enters the mind of a soldier in battle. He just says his prayers, gets his butt out there and fights.

Deep experience , eh? Deep experience betraying the People of America, selling the nation down the tubes to accept illegal aliens who have little or no interest in the duties of a US citizen.

Hoodwinking RINO a$$hats. They will not have any conservatives voting for that in the next election, and the RINO a$$hats will lose again to the left. And why should we conservatives turn out and vote for THAT? Eff them. Let them ruin the nation , things will have to get a whole lot worse before these idiot RINOs wake up.

The fix is in. As long as big and small business with big bucks wants it, it's gonna happen. Plurality means nothing unless it's a plurality of dollars.
