Intelligence Committee Heads: Terror Threat Rising
ABC News ^ | Dec 1, 2013 | AP

The terrorism threat against the United States is increasing and Americans aren't as safe as they were a year or two ago, the leaders of the House and Senate intelligence committees said.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein said there are more terrorist groups than ever, with more sophisticated and hard-to-detect bombs. The California Democrat said "there is huge malevolence out there."

Rep. Mike Rogers said there's enormous pressure on U.S. intelligence services "to get it right, to prevent an attack."

The Michigan Republican said that job is getting more difficult because al-Qaida is changing, with more affiliates around the world. He said those are groups that once operated independently of but have now joined with al-Qaida.

Rogers also said terrorists are adopting the idea that "maybe smaller events are OK" and still might achieve their goals.

Death by a thousand pressure-cooker bombs.

As I just said in another thread, "We have met the enemy, and it is the wage earner." The problem with this whole thing is that 0bama is one of them (Moslem), and would never acknowledge them (Moslems) as the enemy.

Nothing like jabbering about a problem to fix it.

Using the idea of terrorism to terrorize some of your citizens to gain power is getting a little old.

Went in my local courthouse, unloaded my pockets, walked thru the metal detector and asked ‘How many terrorists you all caught today?’ Got some startled looks but no response from the three useless protectors of my neck of America.

They have no clue they are being used to destroy our country. They can not handle ridicule and in general are dumb as a box of rocks.

The real problem for Dear Leader is how he’ll blame the renewed attacks on the Tea Party.

Feinstein wants to disarm Americans but give guided missiles to Christian slaughtering Al-CIA-duh terrorists in Syria.

Rep. Mike Rogers said there's enormous pressure on U.S. intelligence services "to get it right, to prevent an attack."

Then why are those same intelligence agencies funding and arming Al-CIA-duh?

More Obama “success stories”... (/sarc)

Terrorists strategy has been to use the first 4 years of Obama to quietly rebuild and re organize under the radar screen and to keep things quiet to allow Obama to get re elected to a second term.

After Obama has been re elected, they begin turning up the heat and creating chaos.

Quick! Spread more American Dollars around, make more "peace" treaties, and grovel harder!!

When I go into the court house or government buildings
I always want to ask them...Where is your gun check?
A citizen legally carrying should be able to check their
weapon so they don’t have to go unarmed outside the
building!

So we can’t privatize the TSA, reduce the amount of domestic spying the NSA is doing, or reduce any spending. Too bad, so sad.

Decimated - reduced by only 10%

Scattered - like a viral infection

Small scale - just a single airplane shot down with a single MANPADS, not a whole bunch of airplanes all at once.

You are behind the times. 1 in 10 is the old Roman definition, the modern def (merriam-webster) is

dec·i·mate transitive verb \ˈde-sə-ˌmāt\

: to destroy a large number of (plants, animals, people, etc.)

: to severely damage or destroy a large part of (something)

I am with it. I dig, I dig.

I was just using the original definition. These are lawyers we’re dealing with. Words have meaning and, in politics, the more meanings the better.
