Riffing on Hanukkah holiday, prime minister says Israel will be a light unto the nations in dealing with Tehran should diplomacy fail
Melding the Hanukkah holiday and foreign affairs, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu solemnly vowed to serve as a light unto the nations and act against Irans nuclear program should diplomacy fail Thursday night.
Speaking at the Western Wall for a Hanukkah candle-lighting ceremony, Netanyahu compared Irans nuclear program to a darkness that would be forced out by Israel, referencing a popular childrens song for the holiday.
We came to drive out the darkness, and the largest darkness that threatens the world today is a nuclear Iran, he said. We are bound to do all we can to prevent this darkness. If possible we will do this diplomatically, if not we will act as a light unto the nations.
Jerusalem has denounced a deal signed Sunday between Iran and six world powers that eases sanctions in return for limits on uranium enrichment and a more intrusive inspections regime.
The prime minister, however, said he had not given in to delusions that Iran would pull back its nuclear program, comparing the nuclear deal to a failed diplomatic initiative meant to stymie North Koreas nuclear program.
I believe in speaking the truth, and standing for important principles in order to ensure peace in the world and our security, and of course our peace, he said. We will continue to act in this spirit. We came to drive out the darkness, and the largest darkness that threatens the world today is a nuclear Iran, he said. We are bound to do all we can to prevent this darkness. If possible we will do this diplomatically, if not we will act as a light unto the nations.

The military window to stop Iran is quickly closing.......
You read my mind...
This is going down, and soon...
Looks like the Saudi’s are going to let them use an airstrip for a staging base for refueling, and other logistical issues...
Iran needs to be slapped down and put in their place.
I remember during the run up to the gulf war with Iraq, the media constantly reported Iraq's army being 5th most powerful in the world.
They folded like a cheap suit. That's the MO for these muzzie countries...talk tough so everyone will fear you. If that doesn't work, blow up a few buses full of woman and children utilizing your proxies.
As far as I'm concerned, Iran deserves a lil payback.
If they don’t go on the 3rd, it might push to:
January 1, 2014
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
been hearing this crap for so long I don’t believe ya any more there Bibi.
You and obammy can’t find a set of balls betwixt ya.
Just freaken nuke iran.
A part of Teheran would be sufficient, or a little dirty one on the heavy water plant.
Israel doesn’t have the will to deal with Iran. Just more posturing amounting to nothing.
Looks like “never again” is going to become “well, ok, so long as you wait 70 years.”
Looks like the Saudis are going to let them use an airstrip for a staging base for refueling, and other logistical issues...
Think about the significance of this previously unthinkable alliance ....
This is going down, and soon...
I wouldn’t bet against it.
God go with Israel and PM Netanyahu.
The less Bibi talks, the closer it gets to action.
It’s beyond time for the West to take the offensive. And we’ve never paid Iran back for The Hostage Crisis.
Less talky, more explodey. And if any snotrag liberal ‘reporter’ tries to sabotage your war efforts, strap him or her to the warhead of a follow-up cruise missile for a “first hand view of the attack”.
Here is some additional “food for thought” re Iran’s genocidal program, and whether or not Bibi will man up - http://wp.me/p2x3Fm-55L
Yeah..the only wildcard though is Russia and China, both of whom are greatly empowered by the muslim lover in the Whitehorse. Big problem.
May God be with us all, for we surely will all
feel the effects.
Personally, I think they should make a torch of Iran
to light the way.
The Israelis have a history of preemptive strikes,
their nation is so small they cannot afford to take
a first strike. History has been a harsh tutor.
Am Israel Chai!
Pro God, Pro Israel, Pro Guns, Pro what America is supposed to be, not what she has become... Yes indeed, may God be with us all. I’m thinkin’ that when hell is unleashed on earth and America’s skirts start to burn, Obama will be on a plane to somewhere in the middle east to assume leadership of the world, the man is truly demonic...
Here is the actual agreement:
We all need to educate ourselves and stop listening to loose talk. Think for yourselves everyone.
Can this document really be what Kerry and Obama is saying is the “agreement”? If so, it beggars the imagination that it could construed as any sort of a binding agreement. If Kerry says this is failsafe, he is a liar.
Between the Jew banksters and the Jew nuke-holders, there is enough firepower to smoke the Middle East. Let’s leave America out of it.
Hey tet68 was t you I was discussing blacksmithing with a few months ago ?

Early evening, January 2, 2014.
Was Bibi speaking in English? Maybe “light unto the nations” was actually “light up the nation of Iran”? He still has a quiver full of Samson to use.
Yeah, there’s that and I pretty much believe that Bibi learned from Olmert’s clusterflock with the Lebanons last time-——if you start it, plan on finishing it. Also advice for our own limp wristers.
Bomb them back to the stone ages where they are currently living.
“God go with Israel and PM Netanyahu.”
The Iranians will be glowing in the dark. Thanks to Barak Insane Obama.
Well, you cannot say the Saudi’s don’t like the idea of a nuclear capable Iran less than anyone else over there...
For starters, having the Jews do what they can is a win win for them...They get their money and a few other things I imagine for the use of their facilities...
Number two, I do not believe the Saudi’s like the idea of nuclear tipped (North Korean design) missiles flying over them and their nieghbors...
So taking Iran back a few notches might be in the regions bast interests...It may not stop the inevitable Genie that has been trying to get out of that bottle over the last 10-15 years...But hey, Israel have to look out for themselves these days...
The current political make up in the US of A is toxic to them...So they are not listening to us anymore, and I totally agree with there next move, when and if they make it...
As I have said many times before:
I expect nothing of the Iranians and therefore never disappointed.
All agreements are useless if there is no enforcement.
This “agreement” or understanding or whatever you want to call this dialogue is just a starting point.
Good for you for at least reading it.
Pardon my ignorance, but how does a new moon impact the military window to stop Iran?
Strike while there’s no moonlight would be my guess.
The last 20 nukes or so are saved for Russia and whoever else jumps in to help Iran.
Don’t forget Israel has 3-4 nuclear armed subs.
Yes, I think Russia will retaliate against us and Obama will not return fire. We are in for the war horse of the apocalypse.
