if you watched the documentary “the History of Beer”, beer and beer halls were the epicenters of the colonials planning to forward the Revolution. In essence, without beer there would be no America.

While on patrol in Baghdad late one night we came up on a house that was far more active than any other house in the area. Turns out some doctor lived there and was having a party. We entered through the gate and we were greeted like some buddies who finally wandered over to party with him. He even offered us canned beer! We had to decline, of course, but it was pretty wild given the part of the world we were in.

If you want to find a beer bottle in So. Africa, go to the top of the escarpment in the movie “The Gods Must Be Crazy” and look down about 5-7,000 ft. There is a bottle down there somewhere. Good luck finding it.
