That is an amazing photo.

Thank goodness something like THAT could never happen in Everett or Seattle.

“PS - another thing is Boeing has military contracts therefor the government might not take kindly to any sort of activity.”

PPS - Bammy’s Boyz_on_ Da_Hill communized the auto companies.

Why not Boeing?

They already have a huge factory in business friendly South Carolina.

Will they be paying property taxes on those factories? How do they afford to buy equipment and supplies to build things with? How do they get these products to market and to willing buyers?

Wonder what Boeing’s annual utilities bill could be? Certainly the plant is insured. Wonder what that premium could be.

Are they capable of retooling the machinery? What would that cost? Who will retrain these workers?

Is there a market for a new manufacturer of mass transit?

Why did the idiots cheer this inane idea? They must also be idiots.

I just want to pat her on the head and tell her to run along and play while the adults get some business done.

The former Navy Master Jet Base in Jacksonville, Cecil Field, would be perfect.

Because Boeing is more diversified than GM. Secondly they have many government contracts. Thirdly it's a private company. I do not think that Obama's regime has the guts to nationalize a private company. Yet.

Obama just bailed out GM after it declared BR. It's still a privately held company. They did not take it over nor did they Ford or Chrysler.

Reminds me long ago, when I looked into working in a machine shop formerly owned by GM that the UAW took over. I was promised a starting salary of $10.00/hr(this was 30-odd years ago) good benefits, and I would start out as an apprentice and could work my way up. Well, 2 days before I was scheduled to report to work, the shop was under a hiring freeze. Still waiting to be called in /s. If the workers are going to control the means of production, be better damn sure be ready willing and able to deal all that goes with that.

They can run the factories perfectly well without all the filthy profit-making capitalistic apparatus through workers’ committees. We could call them soviets.

This is the type of representative you get when people are separated from economic reality.

Homeless people should occupy her house unless she agrees to pay them $100 a day to protest that she has more than they do.

You might want to think again. I wouldn't put it past this regime to partake in the takeover!

Folks, remember the Ford Explorer experience? Their tires were blowing up? They traced the problem to a Firestone tire factory (I believe owned by Bridgestone). That factory was going through labor negotiations for a new contract. The investigation showed that union malcontents were sabotaging the tires. Remember how that one worked out for labor? They shut the plant down. Union people will cut off their noses to spite their faces.

"The workers should take over the factories, and shut down Boeing’s profit-making machine,”

If they do this, in ten years, Southwest and others will be advertising an "All Airbus Fleet"

Wow. I never knew that about the tire issue. I guess I can rest a bit easier about my Explorer, then.

And I’m glad they shut the plant down. Serves them right.
