Kinda looks like his son brought a knife to a gun fight!!!

No comment.. based on how news screws things up I’ll with hold comments for several days.
I don’t know what happened here, but I have seen it in another case within the past year. Dad cheats on mom. Son acts out in anger. Creigh Deeds and his wife of 30ish years and multiple children divorced. Creigh marries another woman. Son is disillusioned because his life seems to have been a political sham.
Damn. Don’t know the guy, heard that his policies were bad, but still. Prayers for his recovery and for some sort of peace after he finds out about his son. :(

I can see my brother doing it. Luckily my parents are dead. When mom would threaten to cut off the money, he would come unglued.

It was personal and needed a personal touch.
Horrible..mental issues usually appear at his sons age, late teens/early 20’s.
Just speculating but my brother loses it when the issue of him getting help has come up.
“Democratic sources tell News4 that Deeds’ son Austin “Gus” Deeds attacked his father Tuesday morning before turning a gun on himself. Police say Gus Deeds died at the scene.”
Stabbed dad, shot self is the news so far.

I noted this:
Del. David Toscano, Charlottesville Democrat, said in a statement that Mr. Deeds is in critical condition at the UVA hospital, is being closely monitored and is in intensive care.
“This is a terrible tragedy,” Mr. Toscano said. “Senator Deeds was very close to his son Gus, and has taken herculean efforts to help him over the years.”
Probably had a very difficult son, maybe drugs, have no idea yet. It has to be horrid.

What, a law to keep guns out of the hands of Democrats? Now, THAT would reduce a lot of crime for sure!
