Cruz: House, Senate Should "Render Judgement" On Impeachment Of "Lawless" Obama (video)

MALZBERG: Impeachable?

CRUZ: You know, Article II of the Constitution gives the president the responsibility to 'take care that the laws be faithfully executed.' We have never seen a president behave like President Obama, who believes he can just pick and choose. He'll enforce this law, not enforce another law. I mean that is --

MALZBERG: Impeachable?

CRUZ: Deeply dangerous.

You know, that's a question for the House, ultimately. The House, under the Constitution, makes the decision whether to impeach, and then the Senate is charged with trying it. So, that's a question for the House to access.

MALZBERG: Would you urge them to consider it?

CRUZ: You know, any impeachment would have to be tried in the United States Senate, so my responsibility would be to render judgment. I would not want to urge the House to do anything other than exercise its best judgment, and I would endeavor to the same on my end.

Kudos to Cruz for also acknowledging the importance of the separation of powers. So many times those in Washington opine on the other branches’ role in the Republic....it is refreshing to see someone their who “gets it”.

2 Thessalonians 2:8-9 (NIV)

And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming.

The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie,

2 Thessalonians 2

New International Version (NIV)
The Man of Lawlessness

2 Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers and sisters, 2 not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by the teaching allegedly from us—whether by a prophecy or by word of mouth or by letter—asserting that the day of the Lord has already come. 3 Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness[a] is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. 4 He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.

5 Don’t you remember that when I was with you I used to tell you these things? 6 And now you know what is holding him back, so that he may be revealed at the proper time. 7 For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming. 9 The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, 10 and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie 12 and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.

Spot on. No higher source either. So what is the house waiting for? Make the Dems in the Senate(and some Pubs) vote on this before the 2014 elections.

Nah, let it go until after the election. The Obamacare fiasco is going to continue to build for the next year, putting Democrats at risk. Talk of impeachment will only work to the Democrat benefit.

the only problem is that so much of Obamacare

IS rendered into “law” BY EXECUTIVE FIAT through the regulatory powers the law establishes in dozens of federal agencies, and the POTUS’s power to have his appointed serfs revise those regulations

the “grandfathered” matter was just one of those issues, where the law authorizes it but leaves it totally to “regulation” to define what it means; that implies that mere regulation can “undefine” or “redefine” what it means as well

THIS ENTIRE POSSIBILITY - LAW BY EXECUTIVE FIAT is 90% of what Obamacare is about and 90% of what it does and 99% of what the real and really subversive purpose of it is

there are even provisions of this executive fiat that are scehduled, by the Obamacare law, to become permanently out of the range of Congressional action unless Congress acts to alter that fact by a certain date

Impeachment goes nowhere given the current status of the Senate. BUT what should have been done immediately on the delay of the employer mandate was the Speaker directing the House Counsel to bring federal suit against the president in that he is in violation of his oath and is usurping the powers of the Legislative Branch. Further, a TRO should have been demanded barring Obama from carrying out his delay. By claiming, correctly IMO, that Obama’s action usurps congressional authority the House would have clearly been able to claim both standing and injury. Two necessities to a successful suit.

I agree with you. But I'm not sure the Supremes would. They've made it very difficult to claim either standing or injury. The Supremes may be leaving us with no recourse short of revolt.

I agree the Senate will not convict but he still should be Impeached by the House. More problems and thus more ammom against him. BO would probably quit by that point.

agreed...

........but it makes you wonder why they are hesitant. I believe even some Democrats are secretly thinking of options to get rid of him.

I’m beginning to think that they are genuinely afraid of what Obama will do if cornered...kind of like striking a mad dog.

The man in charge of buying billions of bullets for HHS had a website where he promoted shooting many white people. He has not been suspended let alone fired. Obama has a back up plan and it will not be good for anyone. Many Republican politicians are totally aware of BHO. They are all trying to stash away as much money as they can steal before all hell breaks loose. The rich and powerful will be the only ones who survive.
