for highest level obtained for incompetence ever. Though
Obama still is king, Kerry is giving him a good run for it.
It’s very embarrassing that the French President has more balls than the American President. His own approval rating is worse than Obama’s.
The “whatever reason” is that France would be in the mushroom-cloud-fallout zone of most anything nuclear that went off in Asia Minor or around the Med. rim. That’s enough to keep the Frogz focused but I always wonder why we don’t hear anything from them with respect to NKorea?

Many of us ridiculed the French for avoiding participation in Iraq, but then the French sent soldiers to Afghanistan. Americans who show a more generalized and lasting hatred against the French tend to be those who identify more as Italians, Germans, Irish and English folks (from families of more recent immigrants from Europe—mostly fans of Rome). I lived in an American community of people like that for a few years. Interesting.

I haven't seen any polls on it lately, so I don't know the percentage of Americans who actually do hate the French. I'd guess that that percentage is smaller than you think. A large majority of Americans have never been to France and don't really know any French people. So they would probably have no opinion on that question.
The most common things that seem to tick off Americans about the French are (1) arrogance toward American tourists by some Frenchmen; (2) a feeling that France hasn't sufficiently repaid the US for saving her in both WWI and WWII - e.g., doesn't necessarily align herself with US geopolitical interests; and (3) in recent decades, France has admitted too many Muslim immigrants and tends to appease her domestic Muslim masses both in terms of her domestic law enforcement policies and her foreign policy toward the Islamic world.
Incidentally, France also did the right thing by putting down an Al Quaeda-backed uprising in Mali.

To your second point, I grew up in an Irish, German, Italian, Jewish area , mixed with al different religions. I never encountered anti French, nor anti catholic, for that matter, sentiment until I got into the military, where, there is also the strongest catholic community, ironically, but understandably
And for years in Germany we went in and out of France heard so much ‘frogs this and froggies bla bla bla ‘ I never got it
Language? The French don’t care what people think they join fights on their merit?
I don’t know about polls, but I’ve spent enough time with Americans in Europe to know that I have to prepare for incoming when it is mentioned. I can set my timer for an anti French, some kind of frog slur nothing forum
To your points, why Americans think they can just go into a country not attempting to blend in, just viewing it like a zoo, and then dictate the natives’ reaction is a question that can only be answered one way
We are mad that they didnt pay us? Really? When is Iraq and Afghanistan going to pay? Why don’t we have rights to Iraqi oil? Do we hate them?
And we don’t like them for not respecting their borders? Go to San Antonio any given Sunday evening any shopping center. The ‘poor’ immigrants are reaping and there is not only no one speaking English there is no one with a modicum of respect for Americans nor America. The shopkeepers are happy. They couldn’t care any less about what they’re ushering in nor what it means to their country nor tge country of their grandchildren
It is hypocritical so I think people just hate the French because they find it enjoyable it takes their minds off how we are falling short

You are correct to say that there is a significantly greater reservoir of good will toward Israel within the Republican Party than the 'Rat Party (especially the Obamaton-dominated 'Rat Party), and so electing a GOP president is more likely to produce better American relations with Israel.
But, more generally speaking, in order to elect a Republican president again, election fraud and cheating must be diminished and GOP politicians must be alerted to this problem and should not be afraid to change election laws and procedures in order to improve the integrity of the voting system.
Saudi Arabia sells oil and gas to anyone. They are impartial.
While Iran and Russia have geopolitical ambitions to put a dual choke hold on European energy supplies (and jack up prices) when you project out five years. Being the most advanced and industrialized European nation, Germany should have taken action. They didn’t so France did.
Also Iran can threaten France with missiles. Soon they will have nuclear weapons to put on these missiles. Then they will be able to make nuclear threats against France/Europe and Saudi Arabia

Here in the UK I would hate to be judged by London.
I spent 10 of my 20 years in the Army stationed in Germany. I know a little about how Germans feel about us. My vote would say 90% of them hated us. They were glad we were keeping the Soviets out, but would rather we had done it from the eastern side of the wall, not the western side. They wanted us out. WE were a reminder of their stupidity of Hitler, and losing the war to what they felt were inferior peoples.

And they’re entitled to their feelings, and opinions. They were polite about it. There were some shopkeepers in town that would not speak English, regardless of how everyone here would say you don’t need to know German, everyone speaks English. Near base, these locals would not.
And I wish people here in Texas would do the same in regard to our native language-English, that is.
I learned German, and I mean I studied it and spoke it. They were very nice and polite to me, but I didn’t change anyone’s mind about Americans. I was simply a good ambassador, whatever that was worth.
Americans want everyone to like them or to treat them that way. But how would we like it if the Germans moved in on us, under those circumstances?
I wish we’d be a lot more that way toward the foreigners who are invading under illegal circumstances.
The French? Why should they be required to like us?
I guess people don’t like the French because they don’t feel the need to approve of us or like us. When I visit there, I have that attitude and I speak French, Not very well, but...so they’re polite to me. and I like France, but I’m told that I’m not supposed to do so.
Interesting, the Germans do have feelings, as you say , of some kind of embarrassment. Some old people, when I was there reminisced fondly about Hitler. Weird.
The young people Hated Bush, as if they have the right to an opinion about our leader. Did they wish to catch us being stupid about a leader and believe all the anti Bush Propaganda? If that’s the case, they are missing the mark, leftists that they tend to be. Hitler’s tactics were not right wing, they were leftist. Obama is the comparison.
Yes, I encountered nice Germans. Had German friends around us where we lived off base. But, I also encountered hateful Germans. I had a friend who was downtown Munich with his wife shopping. These two German women who worked in the store were standing off to the side, talking garbage about the #&#^@) #@*(W8RRt&^ Americans. They used every curse word that Germans have talking about my two friends. But, both just smiled at the Germans, pretended to not understand, BECAUSE MY FRIEND’S WIFE WAS GERMAN!!!! and he also spoke full German as she had taught him German, and just as he was ready to check out, he switched to full German, asked for the manager, and lowered the boom on both women with the boss standing there. He threatened to go to the Army and German authorities and file discrimination charges against the store and the store manager lost his mind, yelling at the two employees, promising to punish them if they would accept his apology. They tossed the stuff they were going to buy on the counter and walked out!! So, yes, there are good and bad in any society.
Or imagine having the United States judged solely by NYC, especially Manhattan.
