Dems vow passage of background check bill (Start calling!!!!)

Far from dead, legislation expanding background checks before gun sales still has a chance of passing this Congress, Democratic leaders in the House and Senate said Wednesday.

While the background check issue has been dormant on Capitol Hill since the Senate shot down such a proposal earlier in the year, Democrats argue that enough pressure on House GOP leaders would return the topic to prominence – and force a floor vote – before next year's mid-term elections.

....

"So we're going to pass this law," he added. "We are going to finish the job and pass background checks and then move on and do other things we have to do to get guns off the streets and stop gun violence."

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) echoed that message, pressing GOP leaders to take up the background check bill and arguing that a majority of House lawmakers would support it if they did. House passage, Pelosi continued, would then increase the odds of the bill clearing the Senate.

A clear violation of the Second Amendment. Americans need to grab these out of control public servants and remind them about how the cow ate the cabbage. The Bill of Rights belongs to US, not them. They are not gods. They are PUBLIC SERVANTS. WE pay them!

What is Nancy talking about? She can just get Dear Leader to order the gun law he believes necessary. Legislatures are so cumbersome and unnecessary anymore.

Why isn’t the GOP fighting back with a national reciprocity bill, now that every state (that isn’t run by blue ) allows concealed carry?
They just wait while Dems to keep throwing `gun control’ bills against the wall until something sticks ....
Counterattack!

Good and jam it down our throats like Obamacare. We need to hold the Congress for a generation or two.

Which categories of firearm purchases are not presently subject to background checks? A private transaction between two consenting adults is the only one that comes readily to my mind? Of course, gun sales between denizens of any age in a big city gang warfare/druggie zone would not be affected.

.... because they have NOTHING more important to attend to, then guns.

Obamacare is doing SO WELL, that they have a TON of political capital to spend -- not to mention, INCREDIBLE momentum.

They are clearly smoking crack. Seriously, not a euphamism, they are actually smoking real crack.

Obama veto pen mightier than the gun lobby?

And the salt in the wound is that these criminal thugs will be the beneficiaries of subsidies by the taxpayer for obamacare.

And this is where we nail them with the following:

The President, Speaker Pelosi and Majority Leader Reid all promised if you liked your health care you could keep it. If you like your doctor you can keep’em. None of that will change.

The President lied. The Speaker lied. The Majority Leader lied.

Now they’re saying if you like your guns, you can keep’em.

And they want us to “trust” them.

I don’t think so.

This should be repeated with any legislation these clowns put forth for the next three years.

The dems are really flailing now, trying to change the subject from one very unpopular Obamacare to another that is nearly as unpopular — gun control. We have to be vigilant, but barring another massive kindergarten shooting, I don’t think this will go anywhere.

Background checks would not have prevented Newton or any of the high profile shootings since Obastard has been in office.
