And why should they report crimes when nothing will be done about them anyway ? Isn't that what Chavez is saying ?

It’s a sanctuary county on steroids and, not surprisingly, it’s in California. Nevertheless, it’s preposterous even for a liberal local government that aims to make all immigrants part of its big, happy family.

Santa Clara County is a pretty sleepy place without illegals because everybody else is busy being a wage slave. Where is your compassion? How are liberals ever going to justify a bigger bureaucracy with larger unions if they don't have people to manage?
