He wasn’t MY Republican Opponent in the General, he was THE Republican Opponent in the General. That is what the Republican Primaries gave us, whether we liked it or not.
My point regarding the direction of this Thread is very simple, here we go again. It accomplishes nothing, Obama won and the Country lost.
To quote Benghazi Clinton, “What difference does it make now?”

Wrong again.
It accomplishes a lot.
It makes it clear we won't settle again and we aren't fooled by the attempt to soft-pedal the disaster that was Romney.
No more GOP-E.
No more "our guy is less evil than their guy"
No more crap about moving to the center (left) in order to win elections.
We've proven in two major elections now, that losing strategy is a complete and utter failure.
In between those two electoral failures, we've proven that Tea-Party candidate can clean the clock(2010) of the GOP-E crappy candidates and their Democrat co-horts when the base is energized.
So please spare us the whining about beating up on Romney. He, and the GOP-E, deserves every last bit of pounding we can give them.

Take your blinders off FRiend.
It's both the GOP-E (Romney and Friends) AND the Democrats that are destroying this country.
I can, and do direct my wrath at both.
Quit pretending that Romney was not a disaster and a Progressive Liberal. His own record proves either you are ignorant of this fact, or you accept it as OK.

No crybaby threads are folks who stamp and cry if they can’t get there way. Waaa the mean old GOP stole the primary..from who?

No, Cry-baby threads are when those who supported Romney, won't admit he was a total electoral disaster from the beginning, and instead of being the one most likely to win (The Big Lie), he was always the one most likely to lose, exactly because he was and is the one candidate most like a Democrat.

“Romney WAS right.”
Yes, he was. He was better on a lot of issues than the current squatter was. But, water is water and it’s already passed under the bridge so there’s no reason to cry too much about it.

Ok...who was going to beat Obama in the last election?
To: Nachum
Obama actually apologized last week to Americans who had their plans dropped I must have missed that. Because, in actuality, 0bama did not apologize, according to any true definition of the word.
Saying that he's sorry if Americans have been disappointed is not the same as saying he's sorry for LYING to Americans.
What 0bama gave was was a shitty, disingenuous, non-apology...

Romney had one bright shining moment in his otherwise tepid general election campaign - his utter destruction and humiliation of charlatan Obama in their first debate.

You can pick on Romney until the Cows come home.
Doesn’t change a thing. Wasted Keystrokes, nothing more.
A whiner calling others cry-babies, how cute is that?
Better we have an Airing of Grievances and we can call this a Festivus Thread.
What a silly waste of time. Moving along to another Thread so I can learn something new.

Who here “supported Romney”?
When it became clear he was the Republican Nominee, he was the only viable alternative to Obama.
The Republican Electorate, of which we at FR are a small minority, made Romney the Republican Nominee.
At that point choices had to be made. The results of the Election showed us the choices that were made. Conservatives Voting Third Party or staying home gave us Obama. It isn’t complicated, it’s Arithmetic. More Obama Votes, less Romney Votes. Obama Won, the Country Lost.
Don’t pull that straw man “Cry-baby threads are when those who supported Romney, won’t admit he was a total electoral disaster from the beginning” like there was some overwhelming push for Romney here. You know there wasn’t, so put your broad brush away.
Both you and I realize this is going nowhere, so once again I will depart this waste of time Thread.

Either way, Demonrats have been able to beat the right by using a simple message. Here is ours: OBAMA WAS RE-ELECTED BECAUSE HE LIED.

Foreshadowing.
To: Nachum
Romney warned at the first presidential debate that Obamacare would be fully installed and cause many to lose their health insurance plans should Obama be re-elected. ...Obama pledged at the same debate, as he had dozens of times before, that Americans could keep their health insurance if they liked it under the Affordable Care Act. Someone ought to run some commercials that remind Americans of this fact!!
It won't change the election, but it WILL remind people, that DEMOCRATS ARE LIARS.
To: Girlene
Romney WAS right.Yep - but don't expect many to admit it. Next thing they would have to admit, that warts and all, he would have been a lot better for the country than giving Obama a second term. I already see folks tearing into Perry because of "his stance on illegal immigration" even though he is a lot less tolerant than many other conservatives. Our side (said tongue-in-cheek) would find a reason to demonize Reagan if he were to run today and then bitch about how another Obama managed to sneak in. We are our own circular firing squad and so freakin' "principled" that Satan would be a shoo-in if he ran against any republican that had a single flaw.
