IMHO; Oracle should have been the “no bid contract” for an endeavor of this size, but frankly, I’m happy they Solindra’d us again with the Canadian outfit. Tends to clear up any doubts about their real motives.
Well, IBM would also have been a valid call - but that’s only if they actually wanted the end result to work. It’s pretty obvious that they either had a huge phobia of ‘big business’ firms (who would be the only ones to make something this big actually work reliably) or they didn’t care if it worked (for any one of a multitude of reasons.) Pretty sure it was the latter.
