Sarah Palin says former President Bill Clinton’s statements from 2008 about President Obama not being ready for the White House were on the mark.
In an interview to air Tuesday on CNN’s “The Lead with Jake Tapper," Palin recalled statements Bill Clinton made when Hillary Clinton was campaigning against Obama during the 2008 primary season.
"I'll never forget Bill Clinton saying about Barack Obama and his story, his agenda, that it was the biggest fairy tale he'd ever seen," Palin said during the CNN interview.
"And he was right, because Barack Obama was not qualified, he was not prepared, and the manifestation of that today is the problem that we see left and right in our economy," she said.
After watching a clip of Bill Clinton from the 2008 campaign trail, “the biggest fairy tale” the former president was referring to was Obama’s earlier comments opposing the Iraq War, and slamming Hillary Clinton for not doing the same.
Palin's comments come the same day Bill Clinton said Obama should honor his promise that people could keep their health insurances plans under ObamaCare if they liked them.
Obama agrees with Bill Clinton, the White House later said. Spokesman Jay Carney said the president asked his team to look at options that would allow people to keep their insurance.
Palin will soon go on a national tour promoting her new book “Good Tidings and Great Joy: Protecting the Heart of Christmas.”
The former GOP vice presidential nominee has previously expressed interest in running for the White House herself.

She’s right though. He may be a reprobate, but Clinton’s tenure as a Governor made him infinitely more qualified for the job.
