Obama calls Netanyahu after criticism of Iran nuclear plan

U.S. President Barack Obama called Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday after the Israeli leader delivered a stinging rebuke to Washington over a deal taking shape in talks between Iran and world powers seeking to curb Tehran's nuclear program.

The telephone call marked an apparent bid by Obama to tamp down growing unease over the emerging Iran deal among the United States' Middle East allies, including Saudi Arabia, as well as mounting opposition to the plan on Capitol Hill.

"Any deal that breathes life back into Iran's economy in return for token and superficial moves that put Tehran no further from nuclear breakout ... appears to be a horrific strategic error," said Josh Block, chief executive officer of The Israel Project, a non-partisan, pro-Israel organization.

One big question: Why is Obama so anxious to help Iran, without Iran making any concessions whatsoever?

Iran Talks Strain Mideast Alliances. Chasm Opens Between U.S., Closest Mideast Allies, Over Tehran

http://online.wsj.com/news/articles/SB10001424052702304448204579185572146100640

EXCERPT:” “The deal that is being discussed in Geneva right now is a bad deal,’’ Mr. Netanyahu said in Tel Aviv after meeting with Mr. Kerry. “Iran isn’t even required to take apart even one centrifuge, but the international community is relieving sanctions on Iran.…I urged Secretary Kerry not to rush to sign—to wait, to reconsider. To get a good deal.’’”

Did he apologise to Netanyahu for how the deal with Iran is making him feel?

It must be frustrating to Obama that there’s no way he can get the IRS to harass Netanyahu.

I think it’s even worse than that:

More than likely the Turd told him, if you like your security, you will be able to keep it.

Obama wants to economically empower Iran.

And we all know what Iran wants to do to Israel.

Wipe it off the face of the earth were the exact words.

Bibi is way too smart to get sucked in by the Obama lies.

And yes, Obama is siding with the Muslims.

He’s desperate for a win. If there is one thing BHO is proud of, it’s being different from GWB, and it would titillate his throbbing liberal girlie bits if he could accomplish something, anything, in fact, via “diplomacy” in Iran when mean ol’ george bush was always invading places (and deposing dictators, but that’s another story)

oh, and it would change the subject, which pretty well sucks for him right now.

Why would he even take the call? There is nothing believable that Obama could ever say.

I do wish there was HARD evidence proving that. I have been ridiculed many times in polite company.

Don’t think it’s beyond our moronic leader to threaten the Prime Minister of Israel for criticizing him.

Eventually Israel will come to realize it has much in common with Saudi Arabia. The Saudi royal family is terrified of Iran. Publicly the royals pose as upright Muslims. The use strict Islamic rules to control their population. However privately they lead rather decadent lives especially when abroad. There is always conflict between the Sunni and Shia Muslims. The Saudis are vulnerable to being denounced as unfit guardians of Islam’s most holy sites. They are really fearful of a nuclear armed Iran. Once Iran has nuclear arms it can never be subjected a large scale conventional attack. Conversely it will be free to project its power and destabilize its Sunni enemies. The Saudis for their own reasnos fear a nuclear armed Iran.

I was just speculating base on how Netanyahu has responded in the past. Netanyahu has stated that his whole purpose in life it to protect Israel and that is what he is going to do.
