From the view from Washington, the “Tea Party” has cost them at least 4 Senate seats, Indiana, Missouri, Delaware, and Nevada.

To some extent, they are right. But the Tea Party is maturing, and so are the candidates they are putting up.

If you don’t want to get Primary’d...

Govern as a conservative.

Lead as a conservative.

Legislate as a conservative.

Establishment GOP’s take on politics is “WE GO SLOWER”. That’s ‘slower’ to the destination Democrats have chosen... Somehow that’s not much of a rallying cry.

Hmm, I didn't realize that it was "his turn."

I guess now we do.

How many RINO candidates have run and lost in the Senate during the same time frame? A lot more than 4. Let’s see since 2008, I can recall (1) Linda McMahon, (2) Chris Shays, (3) Carly Fiorina, (4) Elizabeth Dole, (5) Norm Coleman, (6) Scott Brown, and (7) Tommy Thompson. I’m certain that I am missing a few.

Wow, if true the Democrats could theoretically take every state.

No problem Mitch. If that is the case, conservatives will vote for the Democrat. You don’t support our candidates and we won’t support you. How ya like those apples, Mitch?

Amen.

Pretty much right. I have voted for McConnell since 84 and if he is the nominee I will sit this election out in Kentucky and will not vote for my congressman Rogers who is a porkers porker. I swear he is closing in on Sheets Byrd for title of the king of pork.

We have a lot of people ranting and raving about the fact that the GOP-e hasn’t tried to impeach Obama. Well, that just ain’t gonna work. The trial takes place in the Senate. Obama would never be convicted by a Democrat-controlled Senate.

Correct. There is a lot of pie-in-the-sky sentiment around here.

now that is just too damn funny...he isn’t even going to be able to keep the state of Kentucky.

his boat has sailed and he may have missed it...but there is always a chance he can hitch a ride with one of the other loser in the Senate...

The Turtle will be retired one way or another. It is easier to replace a bad DemoncRAT than an incumbent Repuglickin. If he wins the primary don’t. vote or vote for the *gasp* DemoncRAT. One way he must be retired for his cowardly behavior and sell out results. He is a DemoncRAT at heart, hates conservatives and is therefore the enemy.

Whoa! Hold on there, bubba. McConnell has a very conservative voting record. Let's examine his record and legislative accomplishments before we label him an enemy. He does not hate conservatives. He is conservative. It may be that he and Ted Cruz disagreed on strategy rather than values. If that is the case, then we can address strategical disagreements within the party without throwing good conservatives under the bus because they didn't follow Ted Cruz' shutdown lead. Not everyone can be a "Ted Cruz." God made us each different and he uses those differences for His plan.

We need individual FR chapters to research the voting history and legislative accomplishments of their senators and representatives so we can stand united on which legislators, if any, need to be primaried.

I am willing to initiate a group of FReepers who can compile and present research data that any FR chapter wants to submit for publication on FR. If we really want to take back our party and our country, it's time to take FR activism to the next level.

We can't afford to lose even one good conservative in 2014. We must make educated decisions about our candidates not knee-jerk, reactionary decisions that will damage our chances to take back our party.

Any thoughts from those I pinged? Should we develop a plan or just wait for the inevitable circular firing squad to take control during the primaries?

One of my pet peeves is that we attack our own camp harder than the enemy’s.

And Yes Mitch McConnell reminds be of the goofy turtle in the loony tunes shows.

I can only say this. We support the candidate most likely to beat the democrat, it that’s Mitch McConnell then we support him. We need to get the senate. then we can purge the party RINO’s.

Ok, I can get with that. But why did he have to be such a pu&&y during Obamacare’s vote AND the shutdown?

It’s no difference than GA Jimmuh crowing, “I do not intend to lose”, but I would leave the ballot blank rather than affirm McC. KY people though don’t know any better than keeping McC around.
