He refers to the Senate Conservatives Fund. "That's the one I'm prepared to be specific about." The fund "has elected more Democrats than the Democratic Senatorial Committee over the last three cycles." The group is targeting Mr. McConnell with ads slamming his leadership during the shutdown. "Right now they're on the air in obvious coordination with Harry Reid's super PAC—Harry Reid's!—in the same markets, at roughly the same amount, at the same time."
But says he isn't worried about his own race: "I don't wanna be overly cocky, but I'm gonna be the Republican nominee next year."

“Insufficiently feisty”, eh? if he is referring the the average Repub. caving in to each and every Dem demand, then yes - we do find them “insufficiently feisty”.
And he makes a cute little joke there about the Tea Party groups “taking their cut”. Really? Trying to sow distrust there. It’s certainly not as if the established Repub groups do anything of the sort, eh? No no no no no.

Can’t agree with that. Boehner committed the ultimate act of betrayal when he put the “clean” senate bill to a vote and reopened the government.
I’m no fan of McConnell but he is only the minority leader in the senate and has about as much power as the queen of england. His voting record is very conservative though.

Boehner at least faked a conservative position for a bit during the shutdown. OTOH, McConnell preemptively surrendered on the cloture vote and put ZERO pressure on vulnerable Dems during the entire kenyancare debate. Basically he dumped everything on the House as quick as he could rather than engage the Dems in a debate they did not want to have. Additionally, the NRSC did NOTHING before or during the shutdown.
McConnell may be minority leader but his has plenty of power. He just does not choose to use it to defend our Constitutional rights or advance a conservative agenda.

Mitch thinks that we’re mad at the Republicans because they are “feisty”. He not just needs to be thrown from office, but launched from office. He has no idea about the tea party or his own party, for that fact.

I do not know much about his opponent but there is a pretty good history of the polls meaning nothing this early, especially when the entrenched moderate dominates in comparative name recognition.
In any event, I am tired of the Rockefeller Republicans demanding our allegiance to all of their candidates while rarely / never supporting any of ours. If he does get the nomination, that is one election I would sit out.

McConnell's comment is inappropriate. Most candidates ask for a vote -- they don't brag that they will get the vote. But that's what Mitch is doing.
Yes, it's like Mitch knows that the fix is in, that he will get elected and that he's taunting his opposition with what will happen.
Feisty??? Feisty???? I'm feisty, or so I've been told, and I'm not looking for feisty from McConnell or the rest of the GOP leaders. I'm looking for combative. I'm looking for determined. I'm looking for driven. If the best he can whip up is 'feisty' then get him the heck out of his leadership position.
Mitch, the actions of your NRSC hurt Republicans glaringly and most recently in VA.
