I’ve been flipping through some channels and have watched a little Rugby...I have to say that those guys are massive and tough! I have no doubt who would be tougher - a rugby team or an NFL team. In a street fight, the rugby team would win by a landslide!
It is amazing to see the rugby players dive into a pile on the ground without any protection with the exception of teeth guards and sometimes, head padding. Sometimes the close-ups show cleets shoved up against a players face at the bottom of the pile, and then everyone suddenly gets up and moves on to the next play as if nothing ever happened. I would be dead, broken in pieces and out within 10 second of the start of a rugby match.
Tomahawks ?? I'm afraid they're going to have to change that name.
The US has 310+ million people. The Cook Islands have a population of about 11,000 people. Which country has more Rugby players?
It was a rugby injury while still a schoolboy which cost the late unlamented Prime Minister Gordon Brown his right eye, and almost the other too. In those days rugby boots still had wooden studs and weighed over four pounds. A rake in the face with one of those could do serious damage, and often did.
Agree. One of my daughter’s old bfs lost a scholarship to West Point when he sustained a severe concussion playing hs rugby.
