Lining up the dead children in Beslan.
In September 2004 Muslim terrorists stormed the grade school in Beslan, North Ossetia taking over 1,000 children and their parents hostage. Over 380 people, mostly children, died in the Islamist attack.
The Russian parliament passed a law this month requiring family members to pay for the damages caused by Islamic terrorist attacks.
Via the Counter Jihad Report:
Russian parliaments lower house on Friday approved new legislation that toughens punishment for terrorism and requires terrorists relatives to pay for the damages caused in attacks. The document comes as Russia is preparing to host the Winter Olympics in Sochi in February amid concerns about security threats posed by an Islamic insurgency that has raged across the North Caucasus region.
I like it.
If we did that here it’d be overturned in 90 seconds.
So, Putin should send 0bama a bill.
Good.
Will Boston Marathon victims now be able to start forwarding their bills to Mommy and Daddy Tsarnaev?
Yes.
Usually that's a good thing. This time? Dunno.
Relatives of Terrorists Must Pay the Bill for Damages
This is a reprieve. Putin is going easy on the jihadis and their families. Normally, Putin would kill the jihadi's family, friends, livestock, etc.. Now, all the jihadi families have to do is pay the bill.
I wonder how this will work out. Putin usually doesn't show mercy.

Probably just publicity.
The Russians will make them pay. Then arrest them when they can’t.
Then they will disappear
I love it. Great damn idea. Why stop at relatives? associates, friends etc.
I don’t know if their relatives should be responsible. Perhaps the countries that pay for the nonsense (I’m looking at you Iran and Saudi Arabia).
Is Lubyanka still operational?

I’ve always thought that the way to stop this stuff is to eliminate the families who grew terrorists. They would keep an eye on their kids.
The mothers encourage suicide terrorist sons. It assures the women a place in paradise.
Seeing that muslims promote terror bombing and celebrate the murderers making the family and muslim community pay is only right.
I personally thought Mayor Guliani should have accepted that $10 million Saudi check on behalf of the victims with a short speech noting another 3000 such checks would be needed .

That is because our system is a game of lawyers ,and what is legal has little in common with what is just.
I've felt that way since the hijack of flight 847 back in the 80's. As the plane sat on the tarmac, the hijackers basically would work in shifts as they went home for dinner with their families. It became apparent to me then that their families, friends, and probably what passes for their nation were all complicit.
I’m not in agreement.
Parents and other relatives do not have 100% control over a kids or relatives behavior and should be held accountable. This is vaguely on the order of Blacks holding all whites accountable for slavery.
Look at our own society. Our kids, collectively speaking, voted in obama and without batting an eyelash gave him a second term.
Is this a result of bad parenting? Some could argue yes.
But considering the government school system of brainwashing, the MSM and Hollywood propaganda machinery, the general cultural shift towards leftism and the effect peers have on our kids, relatives and parents are not the blame.
The same should apply to relatives of terrorists.
What I do see the Russians accomplishing is if the majority of terrorists are Islamic, then punishing the Islamic relatives could get them to move out of Russia. Or give more Islamic folks reason to be terrorists.

Not that I stand terrorists, but punishing family members for the crimes of a member of the family fall under a forbidden “Bill of Attainder/Corruption of Blood” specifically forbidden by Article I, Section 10 of the US Constitution.
Punishing family members was a common British practice at the time.
Sorry to throw cold water on the fun, but in this rare case, the lawyers have it right.
