If Romney was any indication, conservatives will turn out for Christie though that doesn’t mean he will win. What we as red state Americans need to do now is get behind one candidate early and stay behind him and do all we can to get him the nomination.

Really not something we have to worry about. All the candidates are going to run in the primary. Who is electable in the primary is totally up to us to decide. If Cruz doesn’t win, I don’t really care who wins. There aren’t a lot of other consistent conservatives that are going to be running as of now.

the voters were 39% Dim; 31% independent and 30% Republican. If that’s accurate, it was the independents who kept Cuccinelli in the race

Yes, Cuccinelli was said to be +9% with independents. Republicans have been consistently winning independents

Romney also won independents over Obama. Romney was +10 in Ohio and Virginia. He was +8 in Nevada. He was +5 in Pennsylvania and +4 in Colorado. Needless to say, Romney didn't win one of those states. I'm not sure what "independent" means, anymore. Is it the Tea Party? Because I certainly don't feel included in the GOP.
