I hope she and Cruz don't split the Conservative vote and we end up getting another RINO mush after the Primaries.
Actually the Primaries are pretty rigged as they are -- they start out with fairly liberal States, and some States even have 'open primaries' where 'progressive-socialists' can cross over and vote for their favorite left leaning Republican (and then vote against him/her in the primary).

Anyways, Palin or Cruz would make fine Presidents -- I just hope they pick straws before the Primaries start.

My state Republican primary is so late in the spring that the nominee was already determined weeks in advance. Thus, the state presidential primary is irrelevant.

There should be maybe 3 or 4 primary dates 2 to 3 weeks apart and approximately equal in the number of delegate numbers.

I think conservatives should recognize this conservative weakness and a GOP-e strongpoint. As much as I hate GOP-e, they are able to promote less alternatives to focus on than conservatives do. Or, alternatively, they are able to promote at the same time a GOP-e candidate while somehow encouraging other GOP-e-backed candidates to run as RINO "conservatives".

If the GOP primaries result in another Romney clone, I'm out, and odds are that it is exactly what the GOP will field in 2016. Just lookin' ahead realistically.

The party "brand" has to be overtly, loudly, aggresively, pro 2nd amendment, pro limited government, pro limited food stamps, pro skeptic global warming, pro independent local schools -- pro pruning government intrusion and restoring freedom and prosperity that would follow. Pro get the government out of our hair and return it at least to the states.

That party will win, and I don't think it's the Republican party if the weenie "leadership" and respect paid to such as Romney and Rove isn't out post haste, and that is not likely. :^\ I'm just saying we none of us should be surprised if in 2016, we're looking at a liberal GOP "choice," to vote against whatever nightmare the Democrat will be. Again.

Neither she, or Cruz will get the support from the republican party moderates in the leadership...It will never happen...

Some will focus group the crap out of this senario, and find out that even though there is support from the voters (the base) for this ticket, other campaigns will be developed, and supported, by the very forces that do not want a ticket(s) like this to manifest themselves...

Therefore the appearance of “teasing” the base to be used by the elites and leadership to give their preferences a boost, or be energized for 2016...

In which we will lose again...

I for one, would not want them to waste theier time plaing thos game with the very problem we need to rid ourselves in 2014...

If we can win and maintain a larger majority in the House, and get back the Senate...

Whatever is thrown at us in 2015/16 will not really matter for the WH this time...It will be a lameduck presidency from the start...And that will damage the democrat party in a way which is more long term, than wasting our time on a political ideology that is beating us hands down with a complicite media to help the moderates and feckless leadership in the republican party...

I only see a politically viable situation for the republicans to regain the WH, in a practical manner, after the next couple of cycles, and not anywhere before 2020...

I would not want to waste our bullpen, on a political and social environment these days, until the democrats are practically, and sensibly given a bloody nose before that time...

I say lets absolutely allow the republican elites to run Christie as the nominee for 2016...He will never poll or win against Hillary, and he will once again lose because of the very forces which have screwed us over for the last two presidential election cycles...This will damage the elites, once again...

We might very well start cleaning up the toilet bowl because of the senario...

Just my opinion...
