Dressed in Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman Halloween costumes.
A Massachusetts woman was reportedly fired after racially insensitive images surfaced online of her sons dressed as Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman for Halloween.
Caitlin Cimeno reportedly posted photos of her sons, William Filene and Greg Cimeno, with the caption: "Happy Halloween from Zimmerman & trayvon (insert smiley face emoji here)," according to a piece by Myeisha Essex at BlackAmericaWeb.
Following the outrageous post, members of the social media world not only tracked her down, but eventually also her employer, who told a caller that she no longer worked there, reports show.....

For pete’s sake. If you’re going to do something stupid, DON’T PUT IT ONLINE! Geeesh!
It was fun growing up and living in a free country for many years.
I grieve for my children and grandchildren.........
Well... this wasn’t prudent, but still it’s a sad (and cautionary) illustration of where our free speech ideals are going. Now that supposed victims get a veto.
I am completely offended. The costumes are not accurate. They have to put Trayvon on top of Zimmerman smashing his head in.
When we saw a car coming, we'd both get out just enough to be sure the driver could see us ... he'd slow down a little, but we kept walking.
At just the right time, we faced each other and "pulled a rope" across the street.
What the driver saw was two individuals raising some sort of barrier ... and stopped.
We laughed our asses off ... it was all mime.
Sounds like conservatives should fire employees who pushed for a conviction of Zimmerman.
People are free to condemn her, and her employer was free to fire her.
It seems Holidays just aren’t the same any longer. The spirit of this nation HAS DIED! You can’t do $h!# anymore without offending someone. All this sensitivity BS will only breed weakness. Remember this is nu skool now, ole school is gone.
Woman’s Boston Marathon bombing victim ‘costume’ fuels online rage
I don’t know which is more assinine.
1). What the son did.
2). What the Mom did.
3). Your editorializing of the headline.
In case you haven’t figured it out - she should have been fired.
The only really important thing about the attempted murderer Trayvon is that he is dead and no longer a threat to society, especially white society.
Actually, she was fired for posting it or as we say in the IT world “for being too stupid to work here”.
Much self righteous indignation from hypocrits. Where was their outrage over that New Black Panthers Party guy on the street calling for the murder of white people, even the killing of white babies? That same guy was one of the thugs seen in front of that Philadelphia voting poll with a club in his hand intimidating white people standing in line waiting to vote. This same miscreant went down to Florida to stand on the street calling for a bounty on Zimmerman’s head. Hypocrisy with no sense of proportion.
Is Caitlin the woman in the picture? Looks too young to be the mother. Caitlin is from Mass. and sons are from Florida so I don’t think it’s her.
Post of the day.
The black racist writing the article has no problem naming the woman who posted the pictures but will not list the employer who fired her for posting the pictures. I personally am so sick of black “outrage” that I could care less if they are insulted by blackface. Get back to me when black thugs stop assualting old white (or white hispanic) men for sport and then we can talk about racism.
Actually, I think your post #14 wins.
Wowwww I had forgotten doing that back in the 50’S at the main drag threw my once dinky little town.Same local we lobbed snow balls at the buses..Blam, direct window hit .it was so funny to us youts to watch the passengers jump in their seats.
The problem is that those "freedoms" only work in one direction. Try firing someone for mocking a conservative Icon and see how fast it becomes a lawsuit.
How does anyone track the Twits on twitter? Are their IP addresses attached publicly to their postings?
Not on Twitter, haven’t a clue.
Sounds like something she did not her sons.
We did that one time as kids and the driver got out and chased us two blocks on foot.
The only thing that saved us was when we pulled that rope again and he stopped ... again.
Zimm seems to be using a over/under barreled hand gun.
But, hanging an effigy of Sara Palin, a mother of a disabled child, is considered acceptable.
I remember hearing on the radio how a black woman mocked the assasination attempt on Ronald Reagan—at her place of work!
Yet a union employee can commit all manner of infractions — on the job — and the union will defend the employee and insist that he not be fired. And if he is fired, the next time the contract is renegotiated, the union will insist that the employee be rehired.
“In case you havent figured it out - she should have been fired.”
For what reason?
This is ridiculous.
For what reason?
Because, some folks are too sponge-spined to stick up for another's right of free speech and expression.
This is stupid and offensive.
These “social media” sites are ruining a lot of people who are thoughtless in their comments.
She was fired for promoting something her adult child did by using her own social media account to publicize it.
How is that related to her job?
Ah, the old "You're not perfect. You're fired"!?!?
Like engagingin homosexual “sex”?
All it takes is one complaint from a good-sized customer.
This is not an economy in which firms can afford to lose business due to easily-avoided mistakes.
Not all decisions enjoy the protection of federal law.
Pretty fine distinction. She still didn’t “do” it.
If she had never mentioned it, she'd still have her job.
