Virginia Gov: Cuccinelli casts Virginia election as referendum on Obamacare
Washington Times ^ | November 2, 2013 | David Sherfinski

WOODBRIDGE — Republican Kenneth T. Cuccinelli got a boost from two midwestern Republican heavyweights Saturday as he tried to spur his voters to the polls by casting Tuesday’s gubernatorial election as a referendum on President Obama’s health care overhaul.

Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus, who grew up in Wisconsin, and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker stumped for Mr. Cuccinelli Saturday afternoon after the state’s attorney general started his day in the Richmond area.

“I’m here today, along with the support from other governors across the country, to testify that Ken Cuccinelli has what it takes to be a great leader for this state,” Mr. Walker said at a get-out-the-vote rally in Prince William County. “This is someone who throughout his entire adult career has fought for the hardworking taxpayers in the commonwealth…this guy was the first guy in America to stand up and point out the problems with Obamacare - the problems that not only Virginia now knows, the entire country now knows, is the problems with Obamacare.”

Indeed, Mr. Cuccinelli was the first attorney general in the country to sue over the law after it was passed in March 2010, and has gone all in recently on highlighting the botched roll-out and issues with healthcare.gov as a key difference between he and Democrat Terry McAuliffe.

“This is a referendum on Obamacare, and to help us clarify that point, the president is coming tomorrow,” he told a crowd outside of a GOP office in Prince William, drawing scattered boos.

It’s a pattern now. Reince shows up a day or two before the election to demonstrate party support for the Tea Party candidate. Meanwhile, the party denies funds.

Can’t wait until 2014.

If somehow Cuccinelli actually wins, the panic among Democrats will be priceless.

And among the GOPe...

"If the Republicans lose, it will be because of the Libertarians. Period."

And the rinos who always expect conservatives to hold their nose and vote for a rino nominee but will never EVER hold their nose and vote for a conservative nominee.

Agree. Why doesn’t someone make Sarvis an “offer he can’t refuse”...Where is Don Corleone when we need him?

It is a chance to let the people vote on the mess that is Obamacare, the Harry Reid Senate, and the Czarina of HHS. The Democrats will rig the election, cheat, steal, use violence, racism, hate, to make this guy lose! Watch—against the Mob rule mentality of the Progressives he doesn’t stand a chance.

It is a referendum on Obamacare and a referendum on us. We lose this and its going to be endless crowing from Obama and the media. Expect lots of “Look GOP Christy won big and Cuccinelli lost” the GOP needs to moderate itself which is exactly the wrong message. The message needs to be don’t let your candidates be outspent.

In fairness, at least the RGA spent some money here for Ken. The distressing thing is as far as I can tell Freedom Works and Club for Growth haven’t spent a dime on the race. I guess they only care about primaries

We need all the help we can get. I had a McAulliffe volunteer try to lecture me about ignorant southerners and their obsession with guns last night. The kicker was she was from Rhode Island and was staying at the Ritz Carlton in Tysons Corner! Says all you need to know about where Terry’s support comes from.

Yes, she’s typical of the Yankee invasion that’s destroying Virginia.

My prayers are with Ken and his campaign (I guess Democrats might consider that illegal of me to pray for a candidate.

But I consider a good name for the Democrats to be Demon Rats. What Democrats stand for these days seem to be more aligned with Satan than anything else (abortion, Gay marriage, etc)

Voters in Va need to understand that Terry McAuliffe (and Hillary Clinton) are key chinagate figures along with Gen. Ji, the military intelligence director of the People’s Liberation Army and Colonel Liu Chao Ying.

The RNC will give money to a Democrat before it gives money to Lonegan or Cooch or Ted Cruz.

I am very proud of our entire ticket. Decent, God-honoring men who have served well. Hopefully, your prayers will be answered and the Holy Spirit will move among Virginians and move them to the polls. To God be the glory.

Agree 100%, but the demoncrap party has perfected the art of stealing elections. No one in their right mind could want this Clinton crooked cronie as their governor. He’s against everything that normal Americans hold dear. He’s for sodomite “marriage”, wants to take your gun righs away, has never saw a baby he didn’t want to abort and loves CommieCare. Why would a sane thinking person vote for this lunatic? I asked the same thing last year when the Kenyan was running for reelection. But the difference there is the Kenyan was running against another liberal. Not the case this time. Cuccinelli is a real conservative. He must be the because Karl Rove hates him.
