At the presidential level, I unfortunately believe the most charismatic and possibly better-looking candidate always wins. For that reason, there’s no reason to disqualify a conservative, because the swing voters don’t vote on ideology...they’re ignorant of ideology on either side and just vote on likability. And I believe Cruz is more charismatic, better-looking and more likable than Hillary, so he’s at no disadvantage.
There’s nothing quite like taking a nice firm Schmidt first thing in the morning.
In the unlikely event that he’s not the most egregious waste of a political consultant salary in the GOP in my lifetime, he’s on the short list.
We’ll take him.
Super Rino McCainBOT Schmidt lives up to his rhyming name. Sh...h
I reserve the right to be wrong, but as far as I can tell, Schmidt is 0-fer all the campaigns in which he was in charge of running the campaign.
He is a loser.

Steve Schmidt is no more a Republican than Obama is. He is an AWFUL HUMAN BEING who has helped RUIN Bush and Romney.
Seems to me that the discussion on every news site proves Cruz correct. He placed the weaknesses of ObamaCare front and center while the rinos were weeping for a way to kiss the emperor’s feet.
In reality, iirc, Cruz has a better case than did McCain, for McCain’s Panamanian birth, by the law of the time, called into question his born-American status.
I will NEVER vote anyone who hires Steve Schmidt or Nichole Wallace.
Based on his unsuccessful record, it appears that Steve Schmidt needs to leave the country. Or at least politics.
He’s the perfect example of what’s wrong with the elitists running the party right now. He’s the cancer.
Cruz represents the cure.
Just for the record________
John McCain was not even born on a US military base in Panama. He was born in a military hospital that was not on our Panamanian base. This hospital sat on land that was leased from the Gov’t of Panama and was off-base
My memory says, though, that the law at the time listed countries, and there was something odd about the way it was written that really did call McCain’s birth citizenship into question, despite his having US citizen parents.
I can’t recall, though, and I’ve not got the time to go check it. He’s probably pushing his mid-seventies by now, so we’d be talking whatever law was in effect in the early forties.
What a croc....Ted Cruz beat the Dem. by 10 percentage points....this while getting only 35% of the Latino vote. The truth is the Latino vote is only a factor in the Dims and Rino dreams. If a true conservative can garner 35% of the Latino vote that is more than enough to win.
...so let's throw one of our most eloquent minorities out of the party. Sheesh.
Partially correct. On base or off base doesn't matter, but being born in Colon Hospital could matter if McCain wasn't already ineligible on other grounds. Panama City and Colon were specifically excluded from U.S. control under the Panama Canal Treaty.
It really doesn't matter anyway since McCain was born in a FOREIGN COUNTRY! You'll notice even in the article they said “natural citizen” not “natural born citizen”.
Yes, children born to citizen parents are natural citizens “at birth”, NOT NATURAL BORN CITIZENS. “
BUT, but, being a citizen “at birth” is the same thing as “natural born” citizen isn't it?”
NO IT IS NOT! There are two types of U.S. citizens.
1. Citizens by birth (natural)
2. Citizens by statute (naturalized)
1. Citizens by birth (natural):
a. Born on U.S. soil
b. Born abroad by U.S. citizen parent(s)
2. Citizens by statute(law)(naturalized):
a. Born abroad, “...foreign nationals who have become citizens of the United States after fulfilling requirements established by Congress in the Immigration and Nationality Act.”
A Natural born citizen is a #2 “native” or “citizen at birth” meeting BOTH requirements “a & b”. This is a status that only matters and is a Constitution requirement, Article II, Section 1, Clause 5, to be eligible to the office of president or vice-president (Article XII)

OOPS, I meant #1 not 2
Steve, your campaign could not even win Indiana, so why the f#%@ should I even listen to a damn thing you say?
