As a American born Polish heritage male..it takes less Pollacks to change a light bulb then Hollanders.
How many faggy metrosexuals does it take to run a radio game show on taxpayer dollars?
If people from Poland are called Poles, why aren’t people from Holland called Holes? (Or Needles?)
I’m sure that the vast majority of people of Poland/Polish ancestry are unaware of this show, this incident, or are indifferent. I would hope that the people who get offended for other people, or the apologists would self flagellate or immolate themselves as a penance for their “offenses”.
Surrogate offenses insult me more than direct sleights.
“There are many other things you can make people laugh at.”
Deary, if you have to MAKE people laugh, you are probably in North Korea.
“Why did the chicken cross the road? To get to the other side!”
“Ha! Ha! Ha! Dear Leader! That is a good one! Isn’t it comrades? I said, isn’t it comrades?”
“Yuk! Yuk! Yuk!”
It seems to me that the popularity of “Polish” jokes began declining when John Paul II came to prominence. I wonder why.
As an American with Polish ancestry(last name ends in ski), let me say people need to lighten up. I have read the Constitution several times and have been unable to locate the right to not be offended. The first amendment practically guarantees that everyone will be offended. Get over it.
Doesn't anyone realize that the guy who told the joke IS Polish? Grosz is a Polish last name.
Now you've hurt my feelings.
The answer is,all of them.
I turn on the tube and what do I see
A whole lotta people cryin' "Don't blame me"
They point their crooked little fingers at everybody else
Spend all their time feelin' sorry for themselves
Victim of this, victim of that
Your momma's too thin; your daddy's too fat
Get over it
Get over it
All this whinin' and cryin' and pitchin' a fit
Get over it, get over it
- - Eagles
And it took a POLISH individual to at last point out the obvious. Among the Bill of Rights enumerated in the U.S. Constitution there is NO right or freedom to be not offended.
Argument: “I find what you say offensive. Please stop.”
Rebuttal: “I find your existence offensive. Please die.”
I thought Det. Stanley Thaddeus “Wojo” Wojciehowicz was, too!
Poles don’t get a seat at the “celebrate diversity” table.
How many people does it take to build a website in America?
Don’t know yet, still counting Canadians.
I remember years ago when Polish jokes were making the rounds. The Poles I knew who heard them either laughed at some which they thought were true, or just shrugged them off as idiotic. That's the mark of immigrants who have assimilated.
The ones who complain are those who prefer to play the victim card.
I find it distasteful to mock another person’s ancestry or to stereotype an ethnic class. I think it’s childish and shows a person’s lack of intelligence. I think anyone on FR who posts racial jokes should be banned for life from here.
Having said that I have a question: “Why did the Mexican Army only have 500 men at the Alamo?”
Answer: “They only had two cars.”
How many Poles does it take to bring down a Soviet Union?
Just two, if their names are Karol Wojtyla and Lech Welesa (of course having a Ronald Reagan and Maggie Thatcher around, along with another 30 million or so other ornery Poles helps as well).
This IS 1974, right?
Notice how "polish jokes" are now "blonde jokes", some with the same damned wording they had decades ago.
