President Obama's aides went to extraordinary lengths to uncover the identity of a senior official who was using Twitter to make snarky comments about White House staffers.
...What apparently intensified the campaign to identify the “snarker” was a comment about Valerie Jarrett, the senior Obama adviser who has her own Secret Service detail and appears to exercise an inordinate amount of power behind the scenes. Joseph tweeted “I’m a fan of Obama, but his continuing reliance and dependence upon a vacuous cipher like Valerie Jarrett concerns me.”
Jarrett, an old Chicago friend of both Barack and Michelle Obama, appears to exercise such extraordinary influence she is sometimes quietly referred to as “Rasputin” on Capitol Hill, a reference to the mystical monk who held sway over Russia’s Czar Nicholas as he increasingly lost touch with reality during World War I.
Darrell Delamaide, a columnist for Dow Jones’s MarketWatch, says that “what has baffled many observers is how Jarrett, a former cog in the Chicago political machine and a real-estate executive, can exert such influence on policy despite her lack of qualifications in national security, foreign policy, economics, legislation or any of the other myriad specialties the president needs in an adviser.”
Delamaide believes the term “vacuous cipher” that was applied to Jarrett stung so much because it could be used as a metaphor for the administration in general.
… Up against a court flatterer of that caliber it’s no surprise that Jarrett has outlasted almost everyone who was in Obama’s original White House team — from chief of staff Rahm Emanuel to political guru David Axelrod to Press Secretary Robert Gibbs. All are known to have crossed her, and all are gone. As one former Obama aide once told me: “Valerie is ‘She Who Must Not be Challenged.’”
Jarrett and Obama are ideological soulmates. Fellow travellers with a common socialist objective.
Jarrett won’t go down as easily as Rasputin.

I heard the Twitter guy who insulted Jarrett was tripped up when he was fed a false rumor by the Obama team and he mentioned it on his twitter feed.
How dumb can an insider be? He should have known once he insulted Obama’s puppet master his days were numbered.
The President has a 'Valerie' problem

He needs one who lets "bad news" walk into the Oval Office.

Jarrett is the one that gave the ‘stand down’ order to those who were in Benghazi to help and rescue Americans under attack as Barack Obama slept.

A man named, Robert Taylor, was Jarrett’s maternal grandfather and her political background could be established with him, but in the 1940’s Communism was frowned upon and Mr. Taylor was involved in such Communist fronts as the American Peace Mobilization and the Chicago Civil Liberties Committee. Now another person whom, was also a member of these groups and was a “mentor” for Barack Obama was the Communist journalist, none other than Frank Marshall Davis. Now here we can show a direct link to Communist influences to both Barack Obama and Valerie Jarrett both of who had very close associations with Communist Party members. It was Jarrett’s mother Barbara Taylor Bowman who co-founded the Chicago-based graduate school in child development known as the Erikson Institute, which was named after Erik Erikson a notable psychoanalyst. In 1950 Erikson became a hero to the left by choosing to resign from his professorship at the University of California rather than sign an anti-communist loyalty oath as the school required. Indicative of the Erikson Institute’s radical political orientation is the fact that its board of trustees has included, in addition to Bowman, such figures as Tom Ayers (father of the former Weather Underground terrorist and lifelong Marxist Bill Ayers) and Bernardine Dohrn (longtime wife of Bill Ayers). Bill Ayers, for his part, called Bowman “a neighbor and friend” in his 1997 book A Kind and Just Parent, noting that his neighbors also included Louis Farrakhan and “writer Barack Obama.”

Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) said Friday. The Utah congressman was discussing the rocky rollout of the ObamaCare insurance exchanges with conservative radio host Laura Ingraham, who suggested that the botched website might have been the result of the administration hiring contractors close to the president's reelection campaign. Ingraham then said that “all roads lead back to” Jarrett, noting her involvement in “meetings as this thing was being formulated.” “She seems to have her tentacles into every issue and every topic,” Chaffetz responded. “Her name ultimately always comes up.”
Conservatives have routinely expressed suspicion about Jarrett's role within President Obama’s inner circle. The former Chicago lawyer and businesswoman has been a top adviser to the president since his election in 2008. --snip--
