House Oversight and Government Reform Chairman Darrell Issa has teamed up with Sen. Lamar Alexander to demand that the Obama administration turn over documents related to the deeply troubled HealthCare.gov.
In a letter to Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, Issa and Alexander warn that if documents related to the health insurance exchange website are not turned over to both chambers by Oct. 28, the House may move to subpoena them.
“If you do not comply with the Committees’ requests by 5:00 pm on October 28, 2013, the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform will be forced to consider the use of compulsory process,” the letter states.

Issa’s barking again. Still waiting for him to bite.
We need to see some tanned hides (Clyde) hangin’ on the shed.
This is the second post I’ve seen this morning with the theme that the Republicans are “threatening” to do this and “threatening” to do that. I know the other side is shaking in their boots over these threats.
Issa going to change my mind and support illegal immigrants over the wishes of my fellow citizens...
This guy is dead to me! I’m so sick of GOPe turncoats.
I trust both of those guys about as far as I can throw them. Issa will have another dynamic hearing that will uncover all kinds of discrepancies but he will never finish it and they will get away with another one. Just save the damn money.

There are formal niceties to be observed between the branches
First there must be a request. If denied or incomplete, then perhaps another request and then at last subpoena.
Time is both a factor and a gamble. If drug out, the process becomes a danger for ‘rats running for reelection. If given soon, the remote possibly the problem might be solved is lost.
There is also the likely possibility that someone will squeal to save their own ass. That is likely I think. There will be no falling on swords to save Cruella the Simple one or Obama the Messiah. Crucifixion is long over due
Obama must make a decision, something he loathes. It is sort of a lose lose proposition. Meanwhile he is catching hell from all over.
That's the purpose of hearings...to get info that otherwise would never come out.
