If computer glitches are not enough of a problem, President Obama's healthcare law also has a legal glitch that critics say could cause it to unravel in more than half the nation.
Critics of Obama's healthcare plan are suing over a part of the law that offers tax credits through state exchanges. If they win, the program falls apart in 36 states.

This could be a gift for any conservative really.
If the Dems refuse to cave and try and defend Obamacare (again) in the courts, and then the sheep (excuse me I mean the general American citizenry) finally realize how much they will pay under the godless system, they will be crushed at the polls (even with all the voter fraud) as even the “citizenry” won’t forget the most recent pain they experienced and WHO is squarely on record as defending the cause of such pain. Even an average American won’t be that stupid and/or uninformed.
If the Dims do nothing and let the law be struck down finally (thank you in advance, traitor Roberts) then it’s gone anyway.
All that needs to happen is continued problems with the website (keeping national attention on Obamacare) and these legal proceedings to go as well as they have already.
So I’m starting to feel ok about things after all, like recovering from a long spell of diarrhea. But who knows, something might come along to crap all over the country again; it probably will actually so I’m not getting my hopes up too much.

Looks like Justice Roberts is going to have to do another favor for Obama.
The only "reforms" or fixes needed would be tort reform so every trip to the doctor's is not thought of as getting a lottery ticket and the ability to purchase insurance policies across state lines.

Exactly, and that’s what people like brownsfan should be telling their “moderate” friends.
We can all agree that our healthcare system suffers from outrageous costs which is the primary problem. It’s what to do about the problem that’s debated.
The socialist/communist approach is to make a massive, centralized governmental “solution” that does nothing to actually solve the problem at hand, or really the causes of the problem which are outrageous lawsuits brought for the equivalent of a papercut.
One giant step forward would be to make a “loser pay” system to discourage frivolous lawsuits who’s only real goal is to get out of court settlements, not actually bring “justice”, and all that does is drive up cost of malpractice insurance for doctors (and medical suppliers) who then pass on the hikes to us.
This is what you should be promoting to your “moderate” friends, brownsfan, that, and the idea of portable, tax free health savings accounts.
These two plans would do so much more to make healthcare affordable for everyone than Obamacare. The only losers would be the b*****d lawyers and the Marxists who seek to control everyone’s life through the Federal Government.

Tax credits are different than subsidies. Doesn’t one have to actually pay taxes in order to take advantage of a rax credit?
You are not making your case. I means, typically, a disenfranchised D turning to the right. A conservative candidate will win a national election. The last time we tried it was our biggest victory ever.
There is no such thing as a moderate Democrat, and independents are all over the board. Romney picked up a high percentage of independent votes, but lost because a lot of Republicans sat out the election.
Exactly what kind of compromises do you and your moderate friends suggest conservatives make regarding Obamacare? We’ve only begun to see how bad this purely Democrat legislation is. Wait until the wavers expire.
Most here assume that polls that don’t show what they want to see are biased, wrong, or straight out lies. It’s also assumed that the “silent majority” still is a majority and that America is a center right country.
I suggest that America is a much dumber, center left country.
If you run Ted Cruz or Sarah Palin, that is, a true conservative, I don’t think it will go well.
What compromises? I’m just talking about one. Try to fix Obamacare as best you can. We can’t defund it, we can’t repeal it. So, just baying at it constantly with fruitless lawsuits will do nothing.
I’m taking care of me and mine. I’ll do as well as most if another Republican never wins the White House. I’m just telling you what I see. I admire the dig in and fight spirit, but sometimes, retreat and regroup makes more sense.
Here’s a prediction, based on what I see around me. 2014 - Dems hold the Senate and make gains in the House. Right now, I’ll say R’s hold the House, but not by a lot.
If America is the center right place that many here believe it is, the D’s will get slaughtered in 2014.

I hope you’re right, but I fear you’re wrong.
I think Republicans will hold the house with little change and make gains in the Senate. National polls don’t predict Senate races or House races that well. It is better to go state by state and look at the demographics within voting districts, and the numbers don’t favor Democrats right now.
Compromise is good sometimes, when both parties are willing to give and take, and principles don’t have to be abandoned, but I can’t recall Democrats ever compromising on anything, or people like yourself telling Democrats they should stop being so leftist, and compromise with Republicans. It just doesn’t happen. Only Republicans are called on to compromise. That might help explain why conservatives are loath to deal with Democrats. For that matter, it discredits the idea that enlightened Republicans can work with Democrats on legislation like Obamacare, because no matter what they may suggest, like getting rid of the individual mandate, it will be shot down. That isn’t pessimism speaking, just reality. Your suggestion that Republicans compromise is empty unless you can come up with specifics, and identify areas where Democrats would accept changes and compromise.
The more people get a good look at what Obamacare is, the less uninformed politics will guide their decision making, and self interest will meet reality. I predict that come election time, a lot of voters who have lost their insurance coverage, or can’t afford Obamacare’s alternatives will be starting to think like Ted Cruz. It’s already happening.
Anyhow, I’m glad you and your family are well positioned to endure the future, even if the fanatical left ruins it. Good on you. If we keep heading down the current path, all of government is going to collapse just like Obamacare is already starting to do. I suspect a lot of us will get through it, but it won’t be much fun.
