Begich supports extending open enrollment

Sen. Mark Begich says he supports extending open enrollment for individuals to buy health insurance under the federal health care law.

The Alaska Democrat, in a statement, says he wants to work with the Obama administration to ensure individuals aren't unfairly penalized if technical issues continue with the online insurance marketplaces.

Spokeswoman Heather Handyside says Begich wants to see how things with the site play out over the next several weeks and consider what makes sense.

Glitches have plagued the site since open enrollment began Oct. 1. The law requires most Americans have insurance starting next year or face fines. Open enrollment runs through March.

Begich has defended the health care law but also said he has ideas for making it better, including getting rid of a medical device tax.

Republican shoulb be QUIET and let the DISATER ROLL ON

Anything they say or DO will be Immediately Trumpets in the MEDIA as an EXCUSE for the FAILURES!MOP

It is stupid to be doing anything or saying anything when the enemy is having problems.

Do as little as possible that would allow the Media to remove the spotlight from Obam's problems.

He has BIG TROUBLES in the FOREIGN POLICY area.

If I can find something on what I heard on the Kudlow Report I will put it up.

Apparently Egypt and Saudi Arabia are reaching out to Russia for support on Weapons and looking for Help against IRAN.

John Batchelor on the Kudlow Report.

"Begich supports extending open enrollment"

Hey Begbitch, it's too late, it's settled law, remember?

The irony of this is too huge to put into words. If nothing else, all Republicans should not vote to extend the time period. Let Begbitch and the rest of them suffer.

“NO DELAY.

It’s the law of the land. (as they call it)

Obama shut the government down in order to fend off a Republican delay.

Let him start the fines for not being able to purchase crap nobody wanted to buy anyway.”

Agreed. A delay does nothing but take the issue off the table through the 2014 mid-term elections, allowing vulnerable Democrats to tell voters that they acted to protect them from Obamacare, even though they voted for it!

A delay doesn’t change the underlying fail that Obamacare is, doesn’t hold Dems accountable for this mess, and doesn’t recover millions of taxpayer dollars already spent on this boondoggle. It doesn’t get Planned Parenthood out of the navigator posts, doesn’t change the way the law skews employment towards part-time workers, and doesn’t keep people from losing the insurance and doctors they already have and like!

All it does is allow the people responsible for this mess to get re-elected one more time, so they can inflict more damage on this country!

I caught Beck for a few minutes this morning. He said that the Saudi Royal Family has threatened to break diplomatic relations with the United States unless we attack Syria. Obama bowed before his King once before, let’s see if he carries out his King’s command.

Agreed. The media piled on and excoriated the Republicans who tried to delay Obamacare. The media blamed the Republicans for the shut down. And now, that the futility and utter stupidity of Obamacare has revealed itself, the Democrats are getting cold feet, and the media are stunned and they know that it won’t work to try to blame the Republicans any further. F..K all those bastards.

The website problems are a red herring. This entire law is a disaster. It needs to die on the vine.

When you delay registration deadlines you delay registrations. The death spiral continues.

Even if Obama wanted to extend the open enrollment period, he wouldn’t be allowed to without an act of Congress — at least if he wants to follow the law he signed.

And when has the law ever stopped him?

Some Alaskans would propose “Ditch the Baggage!” as a campaign slogan for his challenger.
