Sen. Cruz: It's getting harder for Democrats to support ObamaCare
Foxnews.com ^ | October 23, 2013

Sen. Ted Cruz told Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren Wednesday that it is becoming “harder and harder for Democrats to defend” ObamaCare as the problems plaguing the health law's sign-up website persist.

Cruz, R-Texas, said on “On the Record” that as Americans begin to see the law is “not working,” there have been few Democrats that have stepped in to defend the substance of the health care overhaul.

“I think we’re seeing momentum and I think it’s ironic all the people that just a few weeks ago were saying ‘There’s no way you can win this fight, there’s no way we can do anything to stop ObamaCare’ and they also said ‘There’s no way any D’s are going to flip,’” Cruz said. “We’re starting to see Democrats flip as this thing – it’s a train wreck and it’s not working and in any political fight, when the truth is on your side, you’re in a good situation and here the truth is this thing isn’t working.”

Cruz said that ObamaCare has bigger problems beyond the glitches plaguing the website.

“You’ve got the disasters with the website but more broadly you’ve got the impacts that are happening with jobs – it’s the biggest job killer in the country, it’s forcing people into part-time work,” Cruz said

"If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures." - Alexander Hamilton

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldn’t make any sense at all." -- President Ronald Reagan

"A thing moderately good is not so good as it ought to be. Moderation in temper is always a virtue; but moderation in principle is always a vice." - Thomas Paine 1792

"It does not take a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men." - Samuel Adams

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams

Great!

1. I want Obamacare to go away. Period.

2. I want the people who supported it to hang. Publicly.

That is all.

Actually, a Gallup poll showed that Democrat voter support had increased in the past month. If that’s the case, why should Democrat politicians back away?

Shoot, we're not getting the truth from our side, the GOP Collaborator Caucus, why should we get it from anywhere else?

A big thank you to Senator Cruz for caring about the American people first. Ted don’t seem to much care about any “legacy”. People like him don’t come along very often.

“Shoot, we’re not getting the truth from our side, the GOP Collaborator Caucus, why should we get it from anywhere else?”

I often go on here and read the Dems are unhappy with their policies, with Obama, yada yada yada.

Then I go on FB and Twitter and every Dem is esposing their policies as wonderful, ‘it’s the law of the land’ ‘they’ve been elected, get over it’

Lets not kid ourselves. Scamsters don’t change their spots.

Yep.....Senator Ted Cruz, senator Mike lee....you guys were right on...and have won a victory for the American people and nation!!!

Might I suggest that you, through some sensible method, put forth a petition (like Defund Obamacare) to impeach or force POTUS Barack Hussein Obama to resign!!! I believe millions of Americans would sign and endorse it!!!

just a thought.....I know it would probably not get Obama impeached...but....it would highlight how much he is ineffective with both leadership and management!!!

Looks like some RATS are bailing on OBozocare before the Rinos who supported it.

Cruz and Lee have to giggle a little every night, to themselves, over the Rinos who stabbed them in the back.

Question is how will the GOP make the Dems bleed from Obamacare just the way the Dems made the GOP bleed from the gov shutdown and impending bankruptcy of the US? Atleast the RINO’s know how vicious the Dems were and hopefully they are motivated to return the favor.
IMHO go to the SCOTUS and challenge the Obama admin if they decide to delay the individual mandate without Congressional approval. SCOTUS will need to determine how much of the law the POTUS can modify before the exec starts to impinge on the legislature. GOP should prevent the Dems from delaying enrollment so maximum pain is inflicted on the US public just the way the Dems inflicted pain on the US public during the gov shutdown. I recommend doing it via parliamentary process. Example tell Senate if they vote for a delay in the enrollment, the House should take their time to come up with their own version by holding hearings after hearings and then take their time to take up the Senate proposal. Delay means more and more people are thrown off their existing insurance and bottle necked waiting for their Obamacare while the deadline for penalties start to hit them. Pissed off voters will get angry at the Dems for creating a system that broke all the promises made. Delay till it is no longer advantages for GOP to delay, by then the Dems will settle for anything and GOP can demand for entitlement reforms, tax reforms and if possible defund Obamacare as the 2014 elections loom and Dem poll numbers tank. Obamacare is the weapon the GOP can use to change the Senate and expand the House. Hope they don’t fXXk (pardon mon francais) up on this opportunity handed to them.
