Dropped Health Insurance
10/23/2013 | Sasquatch

Posted on 10/23/2013 5:37:35 PM PDT by sasquatch

We've been advised that our medical coverage will be dropped at the end of the year. We've paid for our own coverage for about the last 10 years. Others out there? It'd be interesting to send a list to the a$$holes in DC describing the extent of the problem. thx

BTW, I have already complained about it to my Senators and Congressman.

Probably should do so weekly just so they get the point.

200,000 were dropped here in NYS. These are all Medicaid and Family care clients. In other words...totally subsidized folks.

I’ve been dropped by my plan through Healthnet. Oregon has its own exchange. I’ve looked a little, but I’m contemplating just becoming a Refusenik. If I get sick with something critical, so be it.

Teamster here. $600 surcharge to cover wife, deductible from $500 to $2500, max out of pocket from $2500 to $6500, premium increase $100/month, loss of prescription benefit until deduct met.

Way to go Hoffa jr.

I received our cancellation notice last week.

Yup.
Same boat here.
My company is keeping us in the dark too.
Claimed that they would let us know “if” they came up with something “sometime” in November maybe.

See? Doesn’t Barry know what’s better for you and what you really need? You were being a “dead beat” expecting to get a policy leaving that out and letting the hospitals/doctors holding the bag for your maternity care. (/s ;))

You've just experienced the FLAW in this entire ponzi scheme called Obamacare.

Up to 16 million people are being sent letters by their insurance company informing them that their policy is being discontinued because it does not meet with the standards or qualifications prescribed by the obamacare law. Those loosing their insurance are finding that the obamacare insurance is considerably more expensive and has a very high deductible.

None of these people ever expected what they had in the way of insurance to be eradicated. In FACT they were promised "if you like your insurance you can keep it"

In the immortal words of Ronald Reagan.. "trust but verify". Too many BELIEVED OBAMA back in 2009 and decided to trust WITHOUT VERIFYING.

My son has a cancellation letter from BCBSTX effective Dec 31st. The letter states that insurance from the Texas High Risk Pool will no longer be needed because preexisting conditions will be covered under the Affordable Care Act. Governor Perry did not believe that Obamacare would work, yet our state immediately drops a program that has helped countless Texans. I think I am madder at Perry than I am at President Obama.

I was also dropped. It looks like at least $1.9M are being dropped, more likely close to 14M. I am trying to summarize it on my blog: http://www.4yourcountry.org/2013/10/summary-of-policies-being-canceled-because-of-aca.html also, if you are looking for a new policy dont go to the exchange, go to www.ehealthinsurance.com see: http://www.4yourcountry.org/2013/10/you-dont-have-to-buy-on-the-exchange.html

The insurance companies - especially BCBS - are in on the 0DeathCare *plan*.

Don't be mad at Perry unless you want 0Care, or think it will "work". He stopped the Medicaid expansion, unlike Jan Brewer, John Kashich and most Dim Govs.

Our son’s BCBS was similarly cancelled. Did not cover birth control and maternity coverage as demanded by the regime. Absolutely FURIOUS here!

To be a good citizen and to err on the side of safety, you should probably go on the pill...

Good point. I don't want to be rushed off to Aunt Betty's 500 miles away and be the point of hushed whispers at Thanksgiving dinner.

Don’t worry, the Liberal Politicians will blame the Health Insurance Companies so we can finally live the dream of Single Payer Socialized Health Care.

It’s all going to plan.

You're just a "citizen," ("sucker").

You're not an Exempted Elite.

So EAT IT. Or ELSE.
