What a great column. It certainly has the ring of truth.

Obama always struck me as a one trick pony. His handlers whine about racism whenever anyone fails to praise Obama with sufficient mindless adoration, but Obama himself merely reads smoothly from his teleprompter. He has no talent and no creativity. A former Senator said it best:
"I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy."
- Joe Biden

A nice piece, but not totally accurate. From reading a slew of biographies of dictatorial types from Lenin to Castro, one type of intelligence these people had in large quantities was the knowledge of gaining power. Which was, of course, their main objective. Gaining power and inflicting their will and policies on people most of whom did't want the policies has been the defining characteristic of leftists for about one hundred years. Once in power, the dictator/tyrant cares little about obeying conventional rules and does so only when the law/rule fits his or her agenda.
So don't dismiss Obama as being a halfwit...he's the one in power dictating policies he likes on people who don't want them and ignoring laws he doesn't like. And he gets away with it. It's criminal, but even certain criminals have intelligence of a sort.

It doesn’t take much intelligence to be evil and break things.
Building something worthwhile and generating positive outcomes takes intelligence, character and hard work.
Intelligence tempered with humility can be channeled into something worthwhile.

To acquire power over a country like the U.S. takes a certain amount of intelligence. Not every leftist can do it...most are not smart enough. Lenin was the same...he gained power through a mixture of subterfuge and lies...just like Obama.
To: driftless2
Obama and others like him were mentored and marinated in hate and envy (we see it happening in institutions of “higher learning”). They can parrot all the slogans and recite all the grievances but they can’t think. I do not consider them intelligent. They are ignorant with no solutions only a destructive ideology. They don masks of caring and compassion to deceive (even themselves).

A great line and truth:
This is halfwittedness raised to the level of sublimity. No wonder they gave him the Nobel.
Likely many people said this: “Chance, the gardener.”

He won the Nobel Prize!
For doing ... NOTHING !!!
Sort of. Actually he won the Nobel Prize for not being Bush.
(Or is that "being not Bush"? I get so confused.)

until I read a quote from Michelle O. herself stating that Bill helped out by "editing the book after Barack got stuck." Where did she get the quote?
Haven't heard it before and I can't find it thru searches either.

In other words, having McAuliffe as a governor of an American state is literally incomprehensible. And how about having an African communist, an Al Sharpton-style "community organizer" from Chicago, as President of the United States and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces? America can survive Ubama, McAuliffe, and the rest of that disgusting ilk but it cannot survive the people who elect them. America is dead, Bunky.
