"When the law no longer protects you from the corrupt, but protects the corrupt from you - you know your nation is doomed."
No, not that one, this one.
You can avoid reality, but you cannot avoid the consequences of avoiding reality.
Obamas sole claim to any sort of excellence is his ability to depend on his enablers ignorance without flinching.
are comin' home,.....
(Eat your peas.)
“When the law no longer protects you from the corrupt, but protects the corrupt from you - you know your nation is doomed.”
Actually this is inaccurate. Under the conditions, vigilantism occurs. If the corruption is local, it does likely mean the end of the local government. But at the national level, the corrupt spend so much time clinging to power that they lose it. But it is not the nation that is doomed, but its government.
To an evader,a feeling of some kind is more important than truth. If he doesn't like a certain fact or idea, or policy, because it is unpleasant or frightening or guilt-provoking, he avoids it.
Evasion is a vice because it is profoundly destructive. It invalidates a mental process. Morally it is the essence of evil.
Obummer has delegated most of his authority to his “czars” and cabinet members, who are all dedicated socialists and envirowhackos.
Ann got it wrong.......
If there is no law.... there is no law
She was extremely useful to her masters, however, in establishing a loyal following.
Oh, yeah. Consider the real impact of the accession to power over the IRS and the Just-Us Department by the thoroughly corrupt members of the most criminal administration in U.S. history. Levers of power. Where once the potential excesses on the part of the holders of those levers were at least a little tempered by the knowledge that soon they would yield them to the opposition, this bunch hasn’t the slightest intention of ever letting that happen.
There are those who can be great leaders, and those who can be great managers. There are are a few who can be great at both. Obama is good at neither.
I prefer the simplified version; “A is A”.
I’m one too. Just reloaded “Atlas Shrugged” (audio version) to listen to on my commute. Will be maybe my sixth reading and/or listen of the book.
Atlas Shrugged was not intended as a How-To manual!
LOL - see my tagline!
I travel and listen to books
How many hours is Atlas shrugged?
Is it broken down into CD’s
1 cd = 80 miles
This goes for the unethical anywhere you find them. I have found them in “leadership” positions where I work.
Obama is the same as all leftists. They all have the leftist dream of a united world with themselves as the rulers. On their way to utopia they have to step on a lot of people and ignore reality.
Thinking is mans only basic virtue, from which all the others proceed. And his basic vice, the source of all his evils, is that nameless act which all of you practice, but struggle never to admit: the act of blanking out, the willful suspension of ones consciousness, the refusal to thinknot blindness, but the refusal to see; not ignorance, but the refusal to know. It is the act of unfocusing your mind and inducing an inner fog to escape the responsibility of judgmenton the unstated premise that a thing will not exist if only you refuse to identify it, that A will not be A so long as you do not pronounce the verdict It is. Non-thinking is an act of annihilation, a wish to negate existence, an attempt to wipe out reality.
But existence exists; reality is not to be wiped out, it will merely wipe out the wiper. By refusing to say It is, you are refusing to say I am. By suspending your judgment, you are negating your person. When a man declares: Who am I to know? he is declaring: Who am I to live?
Wow..... lots of miles
55hours * 60 miles per hour = 3300 miles
I believe it is 40-something CDs. My husband purchased it and downloaded it from Audible years ago and burned the CDs. I used those the first time. It was pretty much a spindle-ful. I downloaded it again last year (same account), but in a different format, so it is in IPod format. My commute is over an hour. I won’t finish until January sometime. I don’t listen continuously. I always have to listen to music or something in the middle of anything James Taggart has to say.
I see it as a post-mortem.
