EUGENE, Ore. - Vicki Walker and 27,000 other federal workers in Oregon effectively lost their jobs during the government shutdown.
Walker didn't apply for unemployment benefits, however, because state law requires applicants to seek other work.
"I like what I do so I deferred not to take those benefits and wait and hope that Congress would repay the funding," she said.
The budget bill approved by Congress on Wednesday states that all federal employees will receive back pay for the time they didn’t working during the partial government shut down.
But Oregon state law mandates that the 1,300 Oregon federal employees who did receive unemployment benefits during the shutdown will not have to repay the money.

This money will be reimbursed by the federal government, according to the Oregon Employment Department.
A two week vacation with DOUBLE PAY! How sweet it is.
Just to put it in perspective, a family friend is an FBI agent. He was deemed "essential", so no paid vacation for him. His paycheck was also held in abeyance, but he had to report for work and was told he couldn't take a part-time job to pay the bills in the meantime.
So the nonessential employees get treated better than the essential employees. Which begs the question: Why are they still employed if they are nonessential? If any of us in the real world were deemed nonessential, we'd be unemployed. If we are lucky enough to work for a decent outfit, maybe they would give us a modest severance package and allow us to cash out our accumulated paid vacation. Maybe.

So what, was Vicki Walker afraid someone would offer her a non-government job? That’s too funny.
She did have a major role in taking down Neil Goldschmidt, I’ll give her that.
The objective is to maximize support for a complete SOCIALIST STATE, and undermine our Constitutional Republic, Capitalism, and our world standing.
Promoting fraud only expedites this agenda.
The more Federal and State debt we take on, the sooner our ruin.
