(CNN) -- Some people were shot Monday at Sparks Middle School outside Reno, Nevada, police said.
Commander Rocky Triplett of the Sparks Police Department said it was unclear how many people were shot.

Latest. Two dead, two wounded and I thought I heard them say the shooter was down? Details will become more unclear as the day goes on as usual. Looked like all of Sparks PD was there and half the Reno PD plus most WCSD and NHP on scene. Next news conference scheduled at 11. No mention of an AR yet. Gun control folks will be cranking up shortly after they get there screed together. Not in the school but on the campus grounds.
The White House is probably working feverishly right now to politicize this.

Yup. First of all, prayers to the victims. I got a knot in my gut as soon as I heard about this cause we all know what’s coming. NFL broadcasters will be calling for more gun control, the justus bros may show up if there were any minorities involved/mistreated. It does most assuredly suck in any case. The latest I got from the locals (who of course have already started with the “too often” crap) was two fatal+shooter. Two critical at local hospitals. No indication yet if they were students or faculty. Looked like a student being loaded in to the ambulance. Probably some kid(?) who “felt” disrespected or was being bullied. Even though we know bullying is a no-no.
Prayers up. But let’s not forget the wreaths and flowers for the makeshift memorial, the candlelight vigil, call out the greif counselors(which seems to be a good “growth industry” to invest in). Get Gabby Giffords, the Sandy Hookers, Sarah Brady, etc. down there for their photo-ops. Maybe a special guest appearance by Code Pink and a few OWSers, they’ve been on the bench for quite a while. Pathetic.

11:22 a.m. update:
A student at Sparks Middle School shot and killed a teacher and wounded two other students Monday morning before fatally turning the gun on himself, police said.
Two unidentified males were wounded in the shooting and were taken to Renown Regional Medical Center in critical condition, a spokeswoman said. The Reno Gazette-Journal is trying to confirm the identity of the shooter and the teacher, who was reportedly a popular math teacher there, according to eyewitness accounts. Police said the teacher who was shot was trying to protect students.
Police said the shooting happened at 7:15 a.m. and students were evacuated to nearby Agnes Risley Elementary School and then to Sparks High School, where parents picked up their children.
At an 11 a.m. press conference, officials said of the two injured students, one was out of surgery and the other was doing well.
The teacher’s name was Michael Landberry, 8th grade teacher..may he RIP
There are depressed minority youth shoot people as well without gang involvement like the kid in Red Lake and Clakamas.
