Yes, delivery is a problem, understanding the freedoms and liberties outlined in the US Constitution isn’t easy without a recent memory of King George...

Mine too. Although he DID sell his practice to a large conglomerate hospital chain so he could get some big bucks before the poop hits the fan.

Now is also the time to explain to voters that a single payer plan would be even worse. With government mandating coverages and not caring about profitability, the consumer gets the worst of both worlds: worse care and higher prices. Democrats will demonize insurance companies but there is no example of government being more competitive than private insurers.

Morning to you buddy. How are things in the mile high environment?

This is exactly where things are headed.

O'care was set up so that if it works it leads to a single payer--big government.

O'care was set up so that if it fails it lead to a single payer--big government!

O'care is failing. When the insurance companies go broke or are deemded not qualifying to govt. standards we get single payer big government. Surprisingly, all roads lead to single payer. I'm shocked.

These guys have worked on this since Hillary care and its all done by commie lawyers so this is what you get.

Plus: people requesting medical care will have to be approved by gov overseers, who will check voting and political persuasion records in making the decision.

Gotta tellya Fish it scares me just how many people are out there lauding common core as if its all about education and not brainwashing Islamic style.Just scary.Just heard Jeb Bush glorify it about an hour ago.I guess the real truth about just what common core is needs to be gotten out there in a big way.

E.J. Dionne appears to harbor a load of bitterness for the T-Party. He has zero use for us. Feeling is mutual, E.J.<

The Dems (along with the IRS) have been targeting the tea party ever since 2010. Remember the Black Caucus members marching through a tea party demonstration at the Capitol trying to elicit racial remarks? The Dems truly fear the tea party because it is a true grassroots movement. And because it non-hierarchical and diffuse, they can't train their guns on one individual or group. The Dems are used to their astro-turfed mobs drummed up by the unions and interest groups.

The message of the tea party is the most powerful one. It brings into focus our real problems of massive debt and the impact of the welfare state on our financial future and individual rights. We are at an ideological divide that cannot be bridged by compromise and bipartisanship. We must win. The status quo is losing.

What's your feeling, kabar, regarding the mid-terms and the cueing up of issues? Dems seem to win with debt limit/shutdown but their recent kicking the can just 3 months down the road doesn't set it up as a campaign issue. Whereas, Obamacare will remain and perhaps grow as an issue throughout next year until it's repealed. '10 redux X 2, imho.

The American public has a short attention span. The shutdown and the debt ceiling debate will fade in the background by the time people start focusing on the midterms in September 2014.

Obamacare could become the major campaign issue if it continues to fail. Since it affects so many people, it will be hard to spin. I have said that Obama could very well decide to make the individual mandate optional for a year just to prevent the system from collapsing. But he will make it seem like a concession to wring something out of the GOP.

There will be some battles within the GOP during the Senate primaries that could divide the party more, especially if some big names lose. The Dems will try to capitalize on that.

I am also concerned about the budget deal that may be struck between Ryan and Murray. Both parties want to get rid of sequestration. The Reps hate the impact it is having on DOD while the Dems hate the reduced spending on welfare programs. We could have some phony deal that will essentially result in the lifting of sequestration for some future promises on entitlement and tax reform. I think we are being set up for that reality. I don't trust Ryan and the GOPe, which likes Big Government and big spending. Most of Congress likes to bring back the pork to their districts. A bad deal could cause a lot of Reps to stay home.

If history is any guide, the opposition party should pick up seats in this midterm, i.e., after the reelection of a President. We shall see. The Stupid Party could pass immigration reform that will legalize the status of the 11 to 20 million illegal aliens as well as increasing the number of guest workers to take even more American jobs. With over 20 million Americans unemployed or underemployed, this could wreak havoc in 2014.

The GOP must unite in public and stop demeaning their conservative colleagues with personal attacks. The Dems never do this. 2014 may be the most important midterm elections in our history. If Obama regains the House and retains the Senate, it is game, set, and match for this country--if it isn't already.

Hey rodguy 911.

The mile high still exists and the snow from last week has melted.

I’m having fun telling lesbians that no real lesbian would consider voting for Hillary. Hillary has stabbed lesbians in the back over and over and she supports governments that persecute lesbians and homosexuals. I go on to say Hillary would put them back into the closet to keep them under control. The responses I’ve gotten so far is not pretty. ROFLOL

And this current government run health care insurance exchange is one prime example to also explain why single payer also doesn’t work. Take Social Security, folks have put billions of dollars into it, and if you actually checked the balance sheet, there’s nothing there but IOU’s.

Now get your health care insurance through a government exchange and when you actually need to use it, you can get in line only after paying your deductible.

If you will notice carefully even Charles Krauthammer has revised his estimate of Ocare taking over 1/6 of the economy. He now states its 18% even higher. This is what its all about never true health care. The regime does not care if anyone lives or dies only what benefit they can get out of willing dupes.

Oh RG!

About Common Core!

I decide, hey I’m going to write about Common Core. Granddaughter now across the street from me.

Me and daughter both go to Board of Education meeting, advertised about Common Core.

People tell me “don’t go to the BofE meetings. It’s all lies!”

But I think, hey, I want to be fair, to study this, to figure out what THEY are saying, and the reality.

BOFE, only twenty people or so come in. It was so awful, obvious plants in the “audience” of few.

Three members or the audience all ask what Common Core does for “exceptional” children and I’m thinking, serious, the first thing these people ask, three times at that, is about “exceptional” children?

Sure, all parents think they’re kids are “exceptional”, this thing must have focus=grouped very well.

My daughter, she dunno. She’s a busy Mom, wants the best for her child, willing to get involved, has heard a lot of bad about Common Core.

So the administrator of this and the administrator of that get up there and tell us how wonderful Common Core is....

....they called it “Common Core “ the Indian River Way.

Cute.

so on the way home I ask daughter. so okay, now we go to one of these many meetings up and down Delaware about this cursed Common Core?

She rears her head...”:Oh no, Mom. I had no problem with that presentation and I don’t think teachers will do anything bad to their students.”

She said this.

I responded what about that thing where they’re taking all these statistics? Longitudinal Student Data Some Silly Name...

Daughter says “What do they care if the school knows I’m Republican?”

I meekly mention the IRS and Tea Party but RG, by then it was a lost cause.

She said she was okay with ME going to those Common Core meetings where they tell you how bad it is but she’s okay with the Board of Education.

Let this be a lesson to all on how this works, how they do this....and hope it makes up for the black cat story.

Have given up on Common Core....at least temporarily.

Not to excuse Rubio but yes he was set up. He showed up in DC as a naive rookie and his staff was selected for him. He was gently choked into compliance like a tree being choked to death by a vine. That’s SOP in the way Leadership handles greenhorns. Few show up in DC with enough on the ball to escape it.
