Soros-Funded Group Plans 'Fly-In' to Push House Republicans on Amnesty

The George Soros-funded National Immigration Forum (NIF) is organizing a “fly-in” of what it calls conservatives from across the country aimed at lobbying House Republicans for an amnesty bill.

NIF is planning to organize the fly in with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg’s FWD.us, and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s Partnership for a New American Economy.

The event will take place on Oct. 28, coinciding with President Barack Obama’s and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s renewed push against House Speaker John Boehner for amnesty. Now that Obama, Reid, and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi are publicly pushing for amnesty after many mainstream media outlets declared it dead earlier this year, Soros’ groups are trying to make it appear as though conservatives support immigration legislation like the Senate-passed “Gang of Eight” bill. Ultimately, the left’s goal is to get the House to pass a series of piecemeal immigration bills and then combine them with the Senate bill in a conference committee.

Soros is heavily involved in funding the lobbying for amnesty. After Breitbart News exposed NIF for being Soros-funded while running a campaign to make it appear as though evangelicals support granting amnesty to illegal immigrants, Noorani admitted his group accepts funding from Soros.

I’m sorry, but I’ll never understand why business supports amnesty. The illegals are more valuable to business as illegals.

Business loves illegals because they are willing to work for much lower wages than American citizens...because they are here illegally. Business has the upper hand in negotiating wages.

Once the illegals become legal, their wage advantage disappears. Businesses will now have to pay the illegals the minimum wage. Plus the other costs associated with hiring workers legally - social security, medicare, etc.

If I were a big business, I would be pushing to either abolish the minimum wage, or have a multi-step wage. A lower wage for youth, or the highly unskilled.

Can someone please explain to me advantage to business of hiring a legalized illegal?

Should this battle be lost, America will be finished and lost, in short order, for her Legal Born Citizens. Bob, may not answer your question with what am typing but, as I see this, is part and parcel of the overall plan as Laz eluded to. To legalize the current residing within our Nation the illegals means a new wave of illegals comes over the border to the joy of businesses. The businesses will have more and fresh illegals to hire. The democRATs will at that point promise the illegals made legal to protect them. The newly illegals made legal will vote for democRATs. The agenda is furthered and democRATs will have a full generation to implement their desires upon the masses. The masses voting democRAT will be none the wiser and embrace the plan to do what the democRATs want. The final battle will have been lost and what shall follow (imho) will be the unthinkable. Just to clarify though, the unthinkable is always lurking and the unthinkable can always find another way to cause the unthinkable should the unthinkable be unsuccessful in being successful in bringing the unthinkable into the thinkable. The unthinkable actually never needs a full generation to be successful. The unthinkable can come into full being in less time. Think Germany 1930s.

The Senate immigration "reform" bill (passed in late June) contains a Medicaid mandate similar to a provision found in the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare). the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) financial impact score of S. 744 shows that it would in fact impose a $20 billion Medicaid expansion on states. According to the CBO, this provision would occur over a decade-long period after the President signs the bill.

"In assessing the impact of the bill on the federal budget, CBO estimated its effect on federal and state spending for Medicaid. S. 744 would have the result of increasing the number of individuals who would become eligible for either full Medicaid or for more limited emergency benefits,” the CBO writes in the section of its Senate immigration bill score on mandates to states.
