The shutdown may be over, but Sen. Ted Cruz (R., Texas) isn’t done making trouble for the Obama administration.

A spokesman for Mr. Cruz said Thursday that he has placed a hold on the nomination of former telecom lobbyist and venture capitalist Tom Wheeler to lead the Federal Communications Commission until Mr. Wheeler pledges not to require more disclosures from the sponsors of political ads.

Cruz spokesman Sean Rushton said by email that Mr. Wheeler has “expressed his readiness to revisit the senator’s questions.” The FCC declined to comment.

Respectfully, can someone explain to me why disclosing the funding behind political ads is a bad thing?

Well, as Joe Biden would say...."Four letters...."

Cruz has more enemies in the GOP than in the democrats.

The GOP attacks Ted Cruz because they're racists who hate Hispanic people.

Obviously some political funders have been threatened....either by the IRS, or by Obama community worker thugs.

Heck yeah I’m in the (huge) minority in that I do not support Cruz on his fight against Obamacare.

But he’s gold.

Keep talking, and keep fighting Cruz. You’re wonderful to have on our side.

No he has ALL the Dems hating him.
Bur the majority of the Senate republicans have had a cushy scam running: they promise deals to 20 or so House RINOs to back increasing spending.
Jamming Boehner, blocking any reform.

Cruz is opposing them... one day maybe even exposing them.
They’ve good reason to fear him.

The Gop isn't the answer, but taking it over is. I think that's Cruz’s long range plan even though up against the Established Gop...Cruz just showed them all what's coming like it or not.......This next election lets just hope more true conservatives will run.

As I see it currently we have Moderates, Rhino’s/Liberals and Conservatives all within the party as well as the Libertarian branch. Getting them to unify has and always will be an issue to contend with.....

But I am not sold on a third party....Conservatives have been talking third party for eons....every attempt has failed... and worse handed the elections over to the Democrats.

The key is to make the GOP the third party.

How long have conservatives been trying to control the GOP, ‘88?

The GOP has always been split .....as I see it it depends on who is the leader. Clearly there were two attempting to lead this time..Cruz and Boehner. And neither hid the fact this was so. The Demorats had a field day pinning them against one another...and the Established Republicans showed they had no problem slamming their own side, which positioned them then in the Democrats park.

Nobody has done as much harm to the GOP then McCain, Graham and McConnell, along with their minions followers who have no backbone of their own.

These guys went on national television and slammed their own party members throughout the debate on this recent bill. In doing so Cruz actually exposed them all for who they are.

White Republican voters are apparently brainwashed by Superpacs to vote a certain way.

But Black high school dropouts from Phillie who helped Obama take the nomination from Hilary are smart enough to sort out the facts from fiction on NBC.

That is another angle on the Superpac disclosure. It is a swipe at Republican voters knowing the issues.

I’m not sure I see the correlation between internet posts and campaign donations. I’m fan of sunshine being the best disinfectant.

I really do try not to write something so snotty that I wouldn’t say it w/ my name attached. I believe that with rights...comes responsibilities and accountability.

This is one of my line in the sands issues...accountability for one’s actions.
