No. He fought with the cards he had. The only crack would have come if the polls hit the Dems harder than they would the Republicans, we all know/knew that would not happen. The media and Obama control the message.

First, your logic leads to the conclusion that the republicans should never mount a fight over anything because they will be defeated by the liberal media.
What about the gun control defeat? The tabling of immigration reform? The last fight over the sequester?
Second, the liberal media is losing viewership and readership year over year and is not the force it once was. The alternative news media and blogosphere are mature enough now to inform Americans of the truth and facts.
Third, Cruz’ strategy caused Obama’s poll number to sink to 37%.
It is not the media that has sunk the republicans, it is the lack of courage and vision of its leadership.
Because, once again, Republicans failed at message management. The one chance they had to reframe the debate they wasted because assclowns like Peter King and John McCain used the stage to attack Ted Cruz instead of 0bama.
