My fellow Americans, the President, the Democrats and the News Media have won a great political victory today, but the American people have lost an important battle. Republicans were elected to control the House of Representatives to stop the hemorrhaging of taxpayer monies. We have tried valiantly to rein in the spending, to stop this headlong sprint to bankruptcy that will happen to our beloved country. Those of us trying to do the responsible thing for the USA have been ridiculed, demeaned and degraded by those who pretend they wish for a 'more civilized' dialogue. We have been called terrorists, kidnappers, and domestic abusers, among other derisive names. A few years ago, Mr Obama called George W Bush unpatriotic for running up an extra 5 trillion dollar debt in 8 years. This administration has added more than 8 trillion in less than 5 years. And now, they are being given the opportunity to borrow nearly another trillion more to spend. And under Obamacare, the Congress will still get subsidized healthcare, the Unions and businesses will get a carve out and the hardworking American people will be footing the whole bill again. In November, 2014, there will be another election. Please know that unless you vote to give the Republicans a veto proof majority in the Senate and the House, we do not stand a chance of reversing this destructive path down which we are being dragged. Americans, it is up to you. We can pull this once great country away from the abyss. Please support us and together we will resurrect the USA and it will once again be the beacon of freedom in the world, not just another oppressive place to live like most of the rest of the countries on the earth.

Is not the problem not with Boehner, but with the House, for not being able to pass anything related to raising the debt limit? And if so, given that fact, that Boehner’s hands are politically tied, and so he cannot put anything of substance before the public, especially yet another speech without any action to back it up?
(perhaps not entirely understanding the actual current status...)
Oh, and one more thing: piss on the Repubs! Cruz, Lee, and Palin are the only true leaders in all this mess, and too bloody right it is time for a third party!

we live in a news media dictatorship. and these clowns in the media are all hard core , ultra leftist socialist democrat monsters. they rule us with an iron fist. the news media create a false crisis then get everyone to act to avert the fake cliff. it’s always more government more debt , more taxes more laws, more regulations that must be implemented to save us from some fake catastrophe. and the low info voters don’t know they are being brainwashed and led to be in chains

Thank Uou Ladies and Gentleman, as you know we have successfully increased the nations debt limit after repeated demands from the Senate, the White House, and the News Media at large. I know a small minority of my colleagues in the House were opposed to Enslaving our Children in perpetual debt to pay for our wants today, but the President and his allies in the media have convinced our youth that the only way to prosperity is to do just that. May those chains rest gently around your necks, for you have just been Formally Enslaved in more perpetual debt with ever increasing interest payments to the money-changers all to pay for our wants today. Now you youngsters might not like it when you get the bill, but just remember your paying this bill is REQUIRED BY LAW unless you have the balls to change it yourselves. We sure in the Hell didn’t, that’s why we chose to FORCE YOU TO PAY FOR OUR WANTS. I know you are gonna ask what benefit you will receive from your 50-60 percent Tax Rate, and that benefit is Self Esteem and NOTHING ELSE, just think how good you will feel knowing you are personally paying the bill for millions of Public Employees and Public Servants to retire in the life of luxury. It makes no difference that you will live in poverty and despair as long as our brave public servants and public employees get theirs. But hey, that’s what you get for being too young to vote. Welcome to VOLUNTARY SERVITUDE.
Call Boehner’s DC office. A staff member is answering, and actually replying to my questions and concerns, albeit with the usual “I don’t know”. Make it clear that you know he must get a number of ‘rat votes for this to pass, that you know that the only “concession” is so-called “verification” of income for CommieCare and that you are aware that he will be stuffing CommieCare down the throats of Americans and telling us to choke on it. Let him know that you know what they’re doing. I was so mad my voice was shaking, and the staffer knew it. He replied very gingerly.
I don’t know that it will make a difference, probably not, but it can’t hurt.
