My guess is 170-180 of them, allowing some of their Dim friends to vote no.

Correct.

What we got was a relatively short time until the next deadline for Gov't shutdown and debt limit.

Reid did not want this. He wanted this debate to end. But it will begin again in a couple of weeks.

This whole production was about who gets let off the hook in their vote. It will win 225 to 220. The senate will get 90 votes.

Disgusting.

These guys must like being taken advantage of.

This idiotic game of appeasement and mental gymnastics about being strategic to win a fight is for Lame-O’s.

This Bully in the White House uses proxies to fight his battles but, he is the architect and he is pretending to be a “U.S. Obama” ala US Grant as it were and he cannot be allowed to get away with hurting people in such an overt, consciously thought manner and outright refusal to speak with other people.

Despots are only validate by capitulation and their relevancy confirmed by courtesans and jesters.

Their patrimony is confirmed by relief of a pain they caused, much like the fireman who sets fire to the home of some innocent victim and then receives praise for putting out the fire...They lit!

These guys are Klowns and I can’t stand Klowns.

When a bully goes out of his way to cause pain, when they do it in a very conscious and well thought manner, the only response is to fight back with all the ferocity and it’s never clean or “So Called Strategic”.

It’s nasty. In fact, it’s nastier than anything the A-hole exerting himself over you but, you cannot have peace unless you enforce “Your Terms and Conditions” for getting along in the world.

We can then be adults and merciful, allowing them a modicum of pride in retaining some of their faulty ego and we can do what is right and best for the American People.

I suggest you have the definition backward. People like us who hold conservative views and are still officially registered with the Republican Party are the RINOs. Once I finally get down and change my registration to Independent, even that tie will be cut.

Sadly, this is all about CYA politics and nothing about principles.

The GOP tent has folded.

What good is keeping the seat...congress doesn’t have the power of the purse anymore.

Congressional oversight is a joke. A bad joke.

Congress is irrelevant. Get used to it.

Exactly. It's all stage management from this point. The Whip is a a busy man today,

The vote count is meaningless. GOP leadership will "release" extra votes they don't need to pass the bill, to protect their incumbents from primaries. All they need is the bill to pass by one one vote. So don't let an incumbent off the hook just because they vote no -- Boehner or McConnell probably gave them a permission slip to appear more conservative than they actually are.
