Peter King is a loudmouth camera-hog. Unlike a full Democrat, he is sometimes on the right side of the argument. But I don’t think he has any particular guiding principles.
Peter King may not have any guiding principles, as he seems to be more RHINO than a true Republican .
However , he stands in defense of Israel, as indicated in another posting on this page titled :

Conjecture is that he is preparing a Presidential run
He must feel secure in his own home district as he is a RHINO in close proximity to a Demorat stronghold.
The problem with straddleing a barbed wire fence is that sooner or later you have to move ,.. and no limb on either side of the fence is happy with the outcome.
Sooner or later , the barbs claim their victim !
