[with AUDIO] House Republicans wouldn’t accept a bad deal on the government shutdown and the pending federal debt ceiling negotiations from President Barack Obama, House Rules Committee chairman Texas Republican Rep. Pete Sessions announced.
“I will tell you we will not back down, but there is much, much that we must understand about what is out there and how to accomplish it,” Sessions said on an interview set to air on Hugh Hewitt’s radio show on Friday night.
Hewitt asked Sessions about the possibility of a deal made by the first of the month to ensure the government fulfills certain payment obligations, but Sessions said Republicans won’t make a “bad deal” just for the sake of those payments.
“Only if it is a good deal,” Sessions replied. “The House Republicans are not going to agree to a bad deal. And this is no threat. This is reality. House Republicans recognize that the president of the United States has within his wherewithal like he did at the World War II Memorial, like they did at other burial sites, Normandy, other places as well as paying the family members upon the death of their loved one who are soldiers. The president has enormous latitude and he is trying to make this as difficult as he can on us. And shame on anyone that does not do the right thing. We have passed the bills to the Senate. We have given Harry Reid an opportunity to approve them. Normal, common sense operational things should and must be done. They are trying to force our hand.”
“So the question is, will we be for a bad deal just to get people paid?” he continued. “Sorry, that’s their problem. We will not back down.”

Texas, not the honorable Senator Jeff Sessions from Alabama.
Translation: “Trust us.”
When they begin to declare “we won’t back down!”, that’s your signal that a massive cave in is about to happen.
My guess is that it isn’t about polls, what the media is saying, or sniping from RINOs. It is the Wall Street “money men” who are now insisting that this come to an end.
Pete Sessions (TX) is no Jeff Sessions (AL).
Texas Pete is now officially a Surrender RINO who all despise Cruz, Lee and TEA.
He is saying the things the establishment usually says right before they fold on every single one of their demands.

We the people have your backs, There is no “good” deal that involves funding ObamaCare or anything whatsoever that helps Obama advance his “fundamental transformation of America,” ie, taking us from freedom to communism. No jobs-killing, economy-killing, nation-wrecking unconstitutional ObamaCommieCare!! No debt limit hikes!! Obama will spend us into oblivion if you allow him.

Boner doesn’t need Sessions to pass it through Rules. He can just order it to the floor and pass it with Democrat votes replacing the Tea Party. It’s “for the good of the country” doncha know!

The whole thing is theater. We are ALL being played. The government / congress will do whatever they want, spit in your face & laugh because there's no viable resistance.

They’ve already completely backed down on Obamacare and are only pretty much asking for Obama to sit and ‘negotiate’ with them after fact, aren’t that?

They might want to go talk to their leadership....
They should call a news conference and say “The president has been true to his word for the first time that we can remember. He refuses to negotiate. So, if he and Harry Reid want the government to default, it’s up to them.” Then walk away.
They don’t want our backs. They just want our votes. They’re all elitists and they have their elitist friends in the media like Bill Eeee-go-rielly who make fun of the tea party and people who use the term rino.
