[with AUDIO] House Republicans wouldnt accept a bad deal on the government shutdown and the pending federal debt ceiling negotiations from President Barack Obama, House Rules Committee chairman Texas Republican Rep. Pete Sessions announced.
I will tell you we will not back down, but there is much, much that we must understand about what is out there and how to accomplish it, Sessions said on an interview set to air on Hugh Hewitts radio show on Friday night.
Hewitt asked Sessions about the possibility of a deal made by the first of the month to ensure the government fulfills certain payment obligations, but Sessions said Republicans wont make a bad deal just for the sake of those payments.
Only if it is a good deal, Sessions replied. The House Republicans are not going to agree to a bad deal. And this is no threat. This is reality. House Republicans recognize that the president of the United States has within his wherewithal like he did at the World War II Memorial, like they did at other burial sites, Normandy, other places as well as paying the family members upon the death of their loved one who are soldiers. The president has enormous latitude and he is trying to make this as difficult as he can on us. And shame on anyone that does not do the right thing. We have passed the bills to the Senate. We have given Harry Reid an opportunity to approve them. Normal, common sense operational things should and must be done. They are trying to force our hand.
So the question is, will we be for a bad deal just to get people paid? he continued. Sorry, thats their problem. We will not back down.
The GOP Rino’s talk tough, but cave like sissy’s. Pete Sessions is another
Is he usually reliable? He’s saying all the right things.
Just say HELLO to Ben Dover and get it over with
taking bets they do. after all, Adolf obozo has Bruno from Chicago to persuade congressional resisters.
The report is something of a first for CPJ, which typically focuses on oppressed journalists in Africa, the Middle East and Asia. Written by Leonard Downie Jr., the former editor of The Washington Post, the report contradicts the Obama administrations insistence that it is the most transparent administration in history. ..........."
Pete sessions is a RINO?
Why are you so negative?
Try to say something good.
It’d not that hard to do.
“The GOP Rinos talk tough, but cave like sissys. Pete Sessions is another prime example.”
Sometimes one can only feel sympathy for the stupid RINOs that yearn to believe in obamas promises. It’s like watching Lucy move the footbally EVERY time on Charlie Brown. Only in this case obamas lips are moving and the rest of us know what that means.
Wise move if you want to get re-elected.
Pete's gone native, that's why he's got a primary challenger.
What’s this? A spine? Is it made of porcelain?
At first I thought this was Alabama’s Jeff Sessions.
He’s a stud duck. (which is a good thing)
“...At first I thought this was Alabamas Jeff Sessions...”
I think I made the same mistake!
If talk from RINO’s is what makes you feel better, enjoy.
I look for action, not talk.
At the same time Sessions is talking tough, Bonehead, Cantor and
McConnell are surrendering to Obama at the White House.
Katrina Pierson has had enough of Pete Sessions.
Look at KatrinaforCongress.com
! A stud duck...and the some!
Do not back down! Congressmen you _must_ hold this line.
I put Sessions right of Cornyn.
Pete used to be my Congressman, but that was nearly 10 years ago. Kenny Marchant is now in my district, and he hasn’t strayed yet AFAIK.
They can talk big now all they want, the betrayal is in place. They sent the Senate bill to conference, King is going to side with the Dims to send it to the House floor where the Dims and GOPes will pass it.
