Just 51,000 people completed Obamacare applications during the first week the Healthcare.gov website was online, according to two sources inside the Department of Health and Human Services who gave MailOnline an exclusive look at the earliest enrollment numbers.

The career civil servants, who process data inside the agency, confirmed independently that just 6,200 Americans applied for health insurance through the problem-plagued website on October 1, the day it first opened to the public.

““The Congressional Budget Office says Obamacare needs at least 7 million customers to stay afloat financially””

We’ve got through all this crap for just 7 million people?

The UK DailyMail reports more facts in one story than the NY Times, CNN, MSNBC, etc. do in a month.

The cost is a driver yes, but I believe a total FEAR of one’s personal data getting compromised is just as strong.

Also, from what I understand you need to give your data before you see the plans.

Where else do you need to do that before you can purchase a product ?

The excuse of “ well we need to determine what level of subsidy you are eligible for “ doesn’t fly......

MSM silence is nothing short of deliberate.

Can ‘t embarrass the King, while he’s lecturing us on financial matters like running the govt, and needing more money.

Someone should start an ad campaign warning people about signing up. :-)

Even the 51,000 number is an overstatement because the exchanges require people to fill out an application just to shop for and price the available policies. Thus, the big question is not how many people fill out an application to go shopping, but how many people actaully pried open their wallet and purchased a policy through the exchanges.

It just goes to show that there are some running this health care signup, who can be bribed for the right amount of money. Just the kind of people we want watching over our health care, right?

In order to make 7 million enrollees in 180 days, the system needs to see a minimum of 38K a DAY enrolling.

teeeeheeeeheee,,the system can’t handle 38k a day! Even IF the interest was there. No wonder Sebellius was begging donors to help.

This is so sweeeeet!

Of course, people will be dying off at a much faster rate than in recent years.

About 99 out of 100 applications are being rejected for insufficient data/info:

I recall hearint about someone who made it almost all the way thorough at 8:30 AM, and then got booted !
However, they got booted AFTER entering in all their financial information .
At 5 PM , they alledgedly recieved an email from Sebilious's office reminding them to complete the application form

Notice that it is only AFTER you enter all your financial information that the information about price is available to you.
The applicant was looking for a cheaper family plan possibly offered by ACA as they were already paying $393 per month for current health care.
Through ACA / OBummerCare the cheapest family program was still going to cost arround $1400 per month as they had prior disability (Diabetis).

Most recently , I heard that ACA cost will also be determined by a credit check to determine worthiness and income verification,
although I have no confirmation. I have no first hand information about the program.

Is this website only or paper applications? I have a feeling many of the Obamacare “winners” don’t have or know how to use a computer.

Notice -- as usual -- the absolute silence of the Propaganda Wing of the White House*.

The 7 million number is bogus. What if most of that number get free healthcare and everyone else opts out?

When they say that they need 7 million to stay afloat, what they really mean are 7 million healthy young males who don't plan on going to the doctor after they sign up and fork over their cash.

Most people, who will admit it have three boxes, IN, OUT and TOO HARD. Stuff moves briskly from the IN box to the OUT box but if it goes to the TOO HARD box it usually eventually goes to the trash can.

People look at obamacare and will deem it just not worth the trouble. TOO HARD, not worth the effort or threat.

“Just 51,000 people completed Obamacare applications during the website’s first week”

Completed applications doesn’t mean “has purchased and paid for insurance”. By no means does this mean very many of them will actually follow through and BUY and PAY for ObammerKare! Besides, you can almost count on all who do ultimately buy will be almost completely subsidized (by the taxpayers of course) and/or are exceeding ill.

I guarantee you before Obama's term is out, America will place a news-firewall around itself to keep out those pesky facts.

Wanna bet against me?

Gee!

You mean even after California revised its numbers from 7 Million to 645,000, they were still lying?

Between now and the midterm elections, the HHS won’t get anywhere remotely close to the number of approved applications they need for 0bamacare to reach their MINIMUM target number of 7,000,000. That would be nearly 135k approved applicants per WEEK and that ain’t gonna happen.
