A Mennonite couple that owns an art gallery in Iowa has filed suit against the state's Civil Rights Commission over being threatened with punitive action for refusing to host a same-sex wedding on their property.
Görtz Haus Gallery, a former church turned art gallery facility, filed a lawsuit Monday against the commission in Polk County District Court.
"The Odgaards welcome all customers into the Gallery, regardless of their race, creed, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, religion, or disability," reads the suit in part.
"The Odgaards may be exposed to financial punishment and other forms of official coercion for refusing to abandon their religious convictions to comply with the ICRC's dictates."

All of this demonstrates the failure of toleration of homosexuality as a social practice. You can’t tolerate them or they will overrun you.

After refusing to allow a vote of the people to constitutionally define marriage, the perverts said that if the situation got desperate by a court imposed redefinition of marriage, they could then move to enact an amendment. But it was all words, as they refused to keep their promises when the court did the unthinkable.

You are correct sir, as Ed McMahon used to say. Gronstal is the worst! He will not allow the homosexual weddings to come to the floor for a vote. Most of the people in Iowa are not in favor of this, but we don’t get a chance to voice our opinion thanks to Mike Gronstal.
The article doesn’t explain if the couple in question lets other weddings occur. They have a right not to have what ever weddings they wish as it is their business but if they don’t host weddings on their property at all then I don’t how the gay couple has any leg to stand on.
It would be like a gay couple coming to my house (where I might have a fruit and honey stand...not that I do) and asking “He we really like the trees in front of your house may we do a wedding here?” Of course I’ll say “no way!”, then they reply they’ll sue me!
Now if other weddings have occurred at this business, I guess they’ll try to use some sort of public accommodation crap reasoning as the justification for a law suit. In that case they must just to have to change their policy and not have any weddings what so ever.

If I was forced to do this I would decorate the place with all kinds of gross sex stuff. Everyone there would feel their skin crawl. The law may tell me who I have to wed, but it doesn’t tell me how to decorate. Yet!
As mentioned in related threads, the states have never amended the Constitution to expressly protect so-called gay rights. So since Iowa Civil Rights Commission is interpreting a state law in a way that abridges a constitutionally protected right, religious expression in this example, Iowa is in violation of Section 1 of 14th Amendment which prohibits the states from doing such things.
Sadly, pro-gay factions are getting away with these things because parents are not making sure that their children are being taught the Constitution as constitutional lawmakers had intended for it to be understood.
They are carefully picking their targets....We should do as much.
