Well, yes. Before the election, John Kennedy took up the collection at Sunday Masses. It was a great ploy to make it look as though he really was a Catholic and to get votes from the unenlightened in church.

Is it BS that Muslims don’t have to participate in Obamacare?

But there is one thing the Kennedys won't do: Pay for sterilizations, artificial contraceptives or abortions -- including abortions induced by drugs. In keeping with Catholic teaching, they believe these things are "intrinsically evil" and that it would be wrong for them to pay for them. 1. Note that they merely refuse to pay for that - it's not even a "firing offense" in their company. Very generous of them.
2. Hope they stick to their convictions and just shut down the companies rather than give in. Otherwise it's just lip service. There'd be 661 ex-employees marching on Washington the next day...

It’s a broad topic. ;)
There is only the way of life or death. Even “conservative” churches rarely go beyond condemning homosexuality and abortion. The true sin, the prideful separation of sex from procreation, results in abortion, adultery, divorce, homosexuality, and every form of perversion. Life equals growth, and sex without procreationwhether homosexual or heterosexualresults in the death of families and nations.
While individuals are given freedom of conscience in these areas within the bounds of marriage, the churches’ teaching should reflect God’s Word: children are a blessing. Notice that this was not 1.6 children at the gate, but enough to stop your enemies cold...

So a business that is owned entirely by one person can be forced by government to do what government could not force that person to do. This is end result of rulings and legal theory that every business exists as a convenience to the public, and thus for the sake of the public can be required to do certain things. This is a “taking” in my mind.

I believe that the obamacare attack on the free exercise of religion is absolutely unconstitutional. Wrong - it's a tax or whatever the Gestapo wants.

That is as lame an excuse that I have ever heard.
I guess you’re of the opinion that the Kennedys are the founders of Catholicism.

Can anyone cite when in the last 70 years any of the Kennedy clan other than Rose practiced Catholicism? The Kennedys are Catholic Royalty in America and the Catholic church treats them as such.
The most Catholic pomp and ceremony we see in America is in honor of the Kennedys.
I think for most American Catholics and Americans, when we see politicians meeting the Pope and taking communion at the Vatican and these kind of Royal/religious ceremonies below, we associate them with Democrat politicians and especially the Kennedys. This is Ted being buried by his Catholic Church.

Autocam pays it workers an average of $53,000 per year -- which is more than the median national household income -- and provides its workers with a generous self-insured health care plan through which it pays out an average of "about $11,000 to $12,000" per employee per year. Among those annual benefits is $1,500 the company deposits in Health Savings Accounts controlled by the individual workers.
But there is one thing the Kennedys won't do: Pay for sterilizations, artificial contraceptives or abortions -- including abortions induced by drugs. In keeping with Catholic teaching, they believe these things are "intrinsically evil" and that it would be wrong for them to pay for them.

The Catholicism the Kennedys practice is the reason I am (currently) a non-practicing Catholic. Stick to Gods law and Im there. Which part of Thou Shall Not Kill is "too much church law"?

It shouldn’t require any religion for people to understand that killing their children in or out of the womb is morally wrong. A conscience and an ounce of empathy should be enough.

If you’d bother to read the OP, you’d discover that this whole thread has absolutely nothing to do with the political Kennedy family from Massachusetts.
