President Obama’s Oct. 8 news conference on the federal shutdown and debt limit (what a putz)
Washington Post ^ | Octobe 8, 2013 | Barack Obama

Posted on 10/08/2013 12:16:20 PM PDT by Cincinatus' Wife

................And I've continued to believe that Citizens United contributed to some of the problems we're having in Washington right now. You know, you have some ideological extremist who has a big bankroll, and they can entirely skew our politics.

And there are a whole bunch of members of Congress right now who privately will tell you, I know our positions are unreasonable, but we're scared that if we don't go along with the tea party agenda, or the -- some particularly extremist agenda, that we'll be challenged from the right. And the threats are very explicit. And so they toe the line. And that's part of why we've seen a breakdown of just normal routine business done here in Washington on behalf of the American people.

And all of you know it. I mean, I'm not telling you anything you don't know because it's very explicit. You report on it. A big chunk of the Republican Party right now is -- are in gerrymandered districts where there's no competition and those folks are much more worried about a tea party challenger than they are about a general election where they've got to complete against a Democrat or go after independent votes. And in that environment, it's a lot harder for them to compromise.......

The Divider-in-Chief.

He's not even pretending to try to bring people together. If he was a Repub the "news" media would be all over him for the partisan rhetoric and mean-spirited talk emanating from his mouth.

"So what is his implication here? That there should be no opposition? That in order to make the trains run on time, we need united, one-party rule?"

---------------------------->

He says "folks" so many times.

Maybe a "FolksWagon" is in our future.....hope it isn't too expensive.

Not much money left after B. Hussein O.'s ObamaCare.

What Barry can’t seem to understand is that this is America, not Africa. Just because you win an “election”, you don’t have the right to stick it to the people until your regime is booted out of office.

Agree, In LaLa land this may seem real.
It's dear Leader being himself, yes, totally delusional.

Wake me up when he brings up the strawberries.

Ahh, but the strawberries that's... that's where I had them. They laughed at me and made jokes but I proved beyond the shadow of a doubt and with... geometric logic... that a duplicate key to the wardroom icebox DID exist, and I'd have produced that key if they hadn't of pulled the Caine out of action. I, I, I know now they were only trying to protect some fellow officers...

He must think the election gave him political capital to burn, like Bush did, but it was really a fact of not having a suitable candidate to run against him.

Talk about building their house on sinking sand... wow.

The government subsidies their own voting block.....
A black hole engulfing everything in sight and in the end runs out gas.
No wonder why they are so upset about the government shut down, it effect their own lock step voting block that is bought and paid for, well, I.O.U.s.

...once again the little boy king reverts to juvenile play ground talk...THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES...before the world brings X-BOX to the discussion....he relates to what he is familiar with...GAMES. Although he seems to be quite annoyed that the American people are not buying his line of BS.

"Just had a note from a friend. He said that it’s been reputed that Putin has said that “negotiating with Obama is like playing chess with a pigeon. He tips over all the pieces, craps on the board, then struts around like he’s won the game.” Don’t know if it’s true, but it fits FUBO to a tee!"

It’s only OK when the well funded extremist, funny how they never use that word with liberals, is sharing their socialist ideology.

Like many of you, I’ve grown weary of hearing most of the pundits and politicians pussyfooting around this subject. With the exception of Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, Mike Lee and a handful of others on the conservative side, none have come right out and said what every THINKING American KNOWS!

The fight over Obamacare is about stopping the unvetted, unqualified, narcissistic megalomaniacal former community organizer and tyrant in the White House from bringing about his “transformation of America”. That phrase was and is code among his dumbed down and/or uninformed supporters for creating a despotic Marxist redistributionist Utopia. That it has failed everywhere it has been attempted and left misery and death in its wake is of no concern to them. The magic Obama can make it finally work.

One element that may puzzle some of you is why more of the wealthy captains of industry and capitalists – who ostensibly have the most to lose – haven’t spoken out in opposition.

Two reasons (there may be more):
1. They believe they will be princes in the new order, their lives of wealth and ease little affected by the distress inflicted on the us down here, the mass of the great unwashed. They really should restudy the histories of those who collaborated with other tyrants who, once in firm control, dispatched those who had the resources and intellect to topple the new “king” once the inclination to do so took hold of them.
2. During the Cold War, the head of Citibank, one Walter Wriston, was asked why his New York based organization continued to provide financing to the tyrants running the Soviet Union and the slave states the USSR dominated. He replied that it made little difference to him what sort of government these nations had and his only concern was “Can they pay their bills?”

The WWII era Norwegians coined a real world name for those folks: Quisling.

And the irony of it all is that the Tea Party does not have one "big money" backer or partisan-they keep trying to tie the "Koch Brothers" to us, but they support amnesty for illegals, which we vehemently oppose. All the big money is allied either to the squish GOP, or the left. The biggest money of them all, Soros, is allied to the extreme left, and he is not at all loathe to use his money to influence policy, the economy, propaganda, and and every aspect of life which can promote and progress the extreme left's vision. He would fit the role of the False Prophet backing The Beast perfectly.

Once people figure out that shutdown is the best thing that could happen to partially paralyze the Kenyan tyrant and his band of criminals, the taxpayers should push for its continuance till the end of the regime of BO. If it takes until 2016, so be it. It is certainly a path superior to the one we were on. Let the truckers crash the White House gates to wake up and rid the country of the head of the snake.
